“Small,sandy and splendid!”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

We visited lots of beaches on the north and east coasts of Corfu and this one ticked all the boxes. The beach is sandy with very shallow water, sunbeds, showers, changing rooms and a snack bar/restaurant.Many beaches we sought out turned out to be little more than a small stretch of pebbles, fine for a couple of hours but a bit harsh for a full day.Although quite small it was busy but not frantic, most people seemed content just to chill and soak up the atmosphere. It is also incredibly picturesque with great views of Albania across a stretch of open sea which incidentally featured in a programme TV cook Rick Stein made about the Med.

“Beautiful beach - don't tell too many people! :-)”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

After knowing Corfu for eleven years now, we were delighted this year to discover Agios Spiridon Beach for the first time. Travelling north on the NE coastal route, this is just after the point where the beaches turn from shingle to sand, just after Apraos. It is sandy, shallow for a long way out with crystal clear waters, and very peaceful, with a stunning little chapel. It is right next to the Antinioti Lagoon, a nature reserve where otters and other protected wildlife species live. For anyone who thinks Corfu is 'spoilt', please come here and see this amazing little beach and its surrounding region. Magical.
