went with my 15 year old son and the two of us loved the place. The food was good with plenty to choose from and entertainment at night was enjoyable.Bought the citronella mosi repellent from the shop and were never bothered by any.The boat trip to corfu town was great but could have done with a little bit more time in the town before returning.Would certainly go back again.

Brilliant hotel, we were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, the food was exceptional for all inclusive, so much variety and cooked to perfection. The rooms were kept spotless as were the gardens and pool areas. It is situated in a very quiet area and not very safe to wander along the roads especially with young children so you couldn't go out of the complex for a stroll. There was a bus stop right outside the complex that ran quite frequently into Corfu town or Benitses which was a safer option.
Many people said they were disappointed with the adult entertainment which really needs to be updated to make the guests join in. George and Paula, outside entertainers were really brilliant and everybody was up singing and dancing the night they put on a show and I think you really need to put on more entertainment of this quality and then the hotel would really have it all.

On arrival we was told our cases would be taken to our room, we wasn't told they would be left outside our room for anyone to take. First night food was ok, after that it was constantly the same. Block pussy galore, the room we had was very spacious and the wet room was an added bonus. The maids never cleaned our room for 3 days and they only changed the bed once in the whole week we was there (and made it). The entertainment was ok, but we felt like we had sit and watch it or go back to the room as there was nothing else around we only had one English channel which was BBC news. The entertainment team worked extremely hard, also very friendly. Apart from Ebo he was very rude when we asked him a question.
The last night we had to eat out at the pyramid bar which was very nice!

Last of all the mosquitoes! Well I've never been bitten so much did everything to protect myself but nothing seemed to work had a plugin for the room also brought a spray from the shop on site (the dearest one) that they recommened did not work!

My partner was surprised how long a transfer we were having,I didn't tell him ha ha after a hour or so he asked if I had booked an island tour. The scenery was breathtaking and also heartstopping at times as we traveled round bends up mountainous rds up and down fot drop-offs,what a good driver we had.Check in was quick but did not like where our room was situated,so didn't unpack, next morning we were offered another without any problems and was very happy.Food was lovely with plenty of choice but by the bank holiday hotel was full and at the hot station one could not find the end of the queue.Book the al a carte its a must I had lamb for main coarse. While there we heard the al a carte will have an optional location with sea views three times a wk.The grounds are well kept and pretty we experienced the scent of jasmine,Everywhere around the hotel you have a view either of the sea and Albania or mountains and lake, so wonderful. The main pool is ideal and water not too cold, plenty of sun beds,if you want shade go near the childrens pool.We thought ice creams were to be paid for but no only the ones in the freezer outside the pool bar.Entertainment was good, and the animation team are a likeable lot.All the staff from cleaners to management are helpful and friendly and work hard to make your holiday special . The owner can often be seen around the hotel (wondered who he was at first, just looks like a guest) The manager is also friendly and is seen all over the hotel.I was amused one morning while waiting for our trip bus when a maid was adjusting nets and drapes to perfection. The beach is small sea shallow, with tavenas on promenade.another larger beach is a short pleasant walk away also tavenas both have childrens play areas. In the evening its nice to have a stroll after your meal either along the promenade or too and beyond the mini market of hotel grounds.I looked at a few reviews on tripadviser and a few people felt the hotel is isolated but you know this when you book. This hotel is for families and couples of all ages but not for young people wanting to party all night like In kavos or Sunny Beach, but if a little fun and drink is what you want the animation team invite guests once a wk to a nightclub with them transport free, also near little beach to right of hotel a nightclub is being built right now ! so the way it was going up it will not be long before its open.Wifi is now in operation which will please a lot of people and teenagers. We weren't bit by the mozzies but odd midge bite, did not use perfume.Only problem we had about the holiday was worry about about return boarding passes, which we did not have im sticking too Thomas Cook in future.Jason from lord travel is a great guy from Yorkshire and assured us reception would print the BP which they did and I was so grateful I gave her a hug.Would I return yes when im retired and have time to travel a few times a yr Thankyou to all the staff at the Mare Blue for a wonderful holiday grandchildren did not want to come home and still wish they were there .

Room Tip: Try and get a room on first floor.

I thought overall the stay was ok, but my partner had a different idea of it, as the food was constantly the same. & they don't include the fact that there is a nearby swamp where the hundreds of mosquitoes fly by the Windows as your eating your meal (quite off putting). My partner came back to the uk and I counted 52 mosquito bites on her body! The entertainment staff was excellent other than the one male, who was the head of entertainment called Ebo he was extremely rude and when Real Madrid was playing we asked him wether he could politely ask his Greek family who was sitting in front of us to move slightly, so we could see the big screen up at the top of the resort by the reception he very arrogantly said SPEAK ENGLISH! Other than the couple of complaints it was a good stay.

We have been back for a week from the Mareblue and as usual you look at things differently than the day after you get back and still in holiday mood.
Overall we very much enjoyed our week although the weather could have been a little kinda and given the hotels location we did as we wanted to have a relaxed week and thought that the hotel was well presented and looked after very well in all areas .
We liked the low rise room blocks and were central to top and boo tom of the hotel
We also thought that the food offered was of a good standard and plentiful at all times and tho the hot servery was a bit smal the food trays were very quickly refreshed and wondered how this would be in high season
We were disappointed with the drink quality and this lets the all inclusive package down and if this could be addressed we think it would benefit the hotel after all it can't be that much more to have a decent beer and branded sprints and we actually paid the extra when we wanted a drink not on the a.i. menu.
We thought the waiting ,reception and general hotel staff very polite and friendly but the bar staff needed a rocket behind them and didn't really inter act very well, the animation team and particularlyTommy tho we didn't join in daily activity I ewe still had a good time with him and the others
We likes the fact that we could walk out and about and enjoy the bars next the hotel( which had real drinks) BUT the Mosquitos are a problem and these outside bars took steps to deal with it tho we didn't notice the hotel doing anything about it so at sunset the beast attacked with a vengeance and we were glad of the repellent we had with us.
We were glad to be at this hotel and would consider going back there again as nothing we encountered spoilt our week ,hope you find your stay the same
Oh forgot the hotel could run the shuttle bus a bit more to Kassiopi a pretty little harbour town 10 mins away nice selection of bars restaurants and shops
We stayed 15th til 22nd of May
