“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

spent the last week of may here for half term and had a lovely time. The staff are all friendly and helpful, there was an excellent choice of food which was buffet style. You are allowed 1 meal in the alacarte restaurant but we didn't manage to make it there. We didn't venture out of the hotel as didn't feel the need to. The kids were happy all day long with the activities, and great pool. Would thoroughly recommend for a family holiday.
The only reason I haven't given this an excellent is that I felt that some of the rooms could be modernised. I was in 2424, and felt the bathroom could have done with an update. It was however clean, so no actual complaints at all.

I stayed at the end of May with my Sister, and we will thrilled when we finally arrived at this hotel.
The view when you walk out of reception was breath taking- stunning panoramic view of the sea, we were lucky to have already requested up grade to a sea view room, this is good if you can otherwise we noticed other rooms balconies look out on either the side of a building or facing your neighbours opposite!

The food for all inclusive was great, lets just say we both enjoyed indulging to the fabulous and may I add full flavour of choice of food for breakfast, lunch, snack time, and dinner. Everything tasted amazing- unlike other all inclusive hotels I've been to- where food looks appetising but actually tastes bland- here in Mareblue this is not the case!

The staff were amazing, before you had chance to even think about your plate being empty it was kindly swept away from you (but not in a waiting on you watching kind of way). The choice of food was spot on although we felt that if staying here for two weeks you may see choices repeat. We found our true love for the local Feta which we became addicted to! The cheese and ham toasties are a must for your afternoon snack- yes you don't really need it after having lunch 3 hrs prior to snack time, so save room! The banana icecream was also a favourite which we enjoyed pretty much everyday!

The entertainment team were fun, we are both in our mid twenties and ok, entertainment teams are similar wherever you go- if your happy to be asked every 30 mins if you want to play darts you'll be happy! We enjoyed doing the Aqua Gym, but don't be fooled you will have to do the 'club dance' before you get out the pool- this club dance track certainly becomes your holiday sound track which we learned to love.

Some really good entertainment in the hotel- the Greek night was the best by far, the dancers were amazing and got the crowd up dancing, smashing a plate or two. Some of the other nights were interesting- but if you make the most of the cocktails you'll soon be holiday happy and not be fussed watching the Greek bingo! We also both learnt to scuba dive with Martin who was great- FREE lessons- which i have never seen before in hotels abroad- we were both bit nervous, but ended up loving it. Had I not already spent all my spending money in Corfu town I would of booked to go out to sea to put my skills to the real test in the ocean.

We really enjoyed our stay here, from great food, to a lovely choice of pools, it was the perfect last minute get away for total relaxation (minus the activities you eventually give into), We would like to say a special mention and Thank you to Terry the hotel manager who clearly sets high expectations of his staff of which they all delivered. The bar staff were fantastic to the point remembering your drink order and replacing it for you without you even saying a word!

The only thing we were a little disappointed with (which the hotel was not at fault at) was the beach- it was tiny and not exactly what we were expecting- so if your a beach lover- go on a day trip to other coastlines within Corfu which looked beautiful, from our windows on the rather long coach journey from the airport to the hotel! (the journey is the only downside- its a long trip on the coach so you do feel a little exhausted and restless before you arrive!)

We most certainly enjoyed our stay and really didn't want to come home, it definitely ticked all our boxes, and we brought fun memories home with us, which even now make us laugh!

Room Tip: Sea view room upgrade if you can, although if your facing right out at the sea and you fancy an earl...

We had an excellent holiday in May at this resort. The hotel is lovely, staff amazing, very clean, lovely pool area. It was a bit remote in as much as the nearest place was Acharavi, which is very nice. A taxi from the hotel to Acharavi cost 10 euros. There was plenty of entertainment in the hotel every evening and various activities around the pool bar.

if you are reading the reviews about this as you are thinking about going don't think any more book it!!

all the reviews are great about this hotel and are true .....

we arrived and were asked to leave our cases and given our room key all you need to do is walk to your room and your cases arrive at the same time easy!! when we got to our room it was a lovely room but not enough beds !! so we called reception and the problem was sorted within the hour !! the room equally as nice with a great sea-view .... when booking upgrade to sea-view its not much more and worth every penny ..

The Mareblue Beach Resort was absolutely amazing, from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms and poolside. The floors were so clean I could have eaten my dinner off them.
Speaking of the food, there was a lot of variety and each night they had a different theme. However, it wasn't just the food that represented the theme, but the also the staff as they dressed up!
The actual location of the resort was surprising, as it feels like it's quite far away from anywhere else but there was a town just down the road, a beach and a stunning view of Albania! The only bad thing about the location I suppose would be the transfer journey from the airport to the resort. It took a couple of hours and was a little bit frightening, when the coach was trying to get up the mountains.... but, it was so worth it when you arrived!

The staff were amazing! They really tried to get you to enjoy the most of your holiday from games in the pool, to organising a night out in the town. Big thumbs up to the Croatian girl whose name I had sadly forgotten, but she was great! Gave my friends and I a fantastic night out at one of the local clubs.

The entertainment at the resort during the evenings was not the best I have ever seen, but you could see how enthusiastic the staff were. I think the entertainment was probably more suited to the older guests rather than my friends and I who are in our 20s. However, one good thing about the resort is there are three pools: one for adults only, a family pool, and a smaller one for just children. During our stay (May 8th - 11th) there were very little children there so we swam in the family pool but I can imagine it would get busy during the peak months so the extra adult pool will be an asset!

Our room itself was brilliant. A lot bigger than we were expecting and it had a wonderful double balcony to enjoy the sun rising and setting on. Room included a fridge, tea and coffee, and a complimentary bottle of wine. Lovely little touches!

I will admit that the having to put the used toilet tissue in the bin was a little embarrassing but that's just how it is so I wouldn't let that change my mind about staying anywhere in Corfu.

But yeah, seriously, this place was amazing and I very much wish to come back here!

Booked via a Groupon deal with Clearsky/JT Holidays,--- on arrival found that we had paid substantially more than other guests.
Lords Travel were 40 minutes late in airport pick up,-otherwise OK.
Hotel rooms basic, which might not matter when weather is OK but our week was wet & cold, -only available English speaking channel was BBC World Service, viewed on a small portable TV CIRCA 1980.
However food was excellent ,restaurant & bar service was good, -entertainment OK considering that they catered for multiple nationalities. Overall all staff were excellent, -friendly & helpful.
Despite earlier comments in Trip Advisor reviews, the lake is not the "Lake of Lilies" as described by Gerald Durrell, but is a salt water inlet populated by mullet & little else.
The walk through the nature reserve was pleasant if disappointing to wild life enthusiasts.
The balconies are effectively shared with your neighbour divided by a waist high panel , - no privacy. The view from our balcony overlooked the back of a similar block, - reminiscent of inner city housing estates.
Despite the negatives raised above we left the hotel knowing that had the weather been better it would have been a good value for money holiday.
The location is truly beautiful & the work put in by the staff needs to be applauded.

Just back from a week in this hotel, staff excellent, rooms kept very clean and comfortable.
Standard of food was excellent, always a good choice and piping hot. Entertainment was good every night. Hotel was a bit isolated but we kniew this before we went so had a very relaxing week. Lord Travel tour guide Jason was very helpful and was there every day for about 12 hours.
