My mouth is watering thinking about the Telesilla lamb and the most succulent stiffado on the island. I have been going to the Telesilla for three years now - and it is one of my favourite restaurants in the world! Located just outside Gouvia Marina, its a wonderful place for families, groups of friends and couples alike.
Mikey, Tomaz and Yannis will make you feel not only welcome, but part of the Telisilla family. During the day you can laze on sun lounges and go for refreshing dips in the pool. Come evening, its sun downers at the bar and then wonderful meals at candlelit tables complete with white table cloths. The boys will entertain you with traditional greek dancing and often other performers will join in - be it a local traveling band, hotel regulars to romance you with Sinatra or if you're lucky the resident Elvis. A must see if you get the opportunity.
The fare is Greek - from shrimp saganaki, tzaziki and spicy sausages to slow cooked lamb and seasonal fish dishes - all cooked on site. There are also pizzas, pastas and salads for diversity. The dishes are very generous servings and are very reasonably priced give the quality of the ingredients. If the slow roast pork shoulder is the evenings special - order it! It is amazing!
The place is always humming and I would recommend booking if you're a larger group. Its also wonderful for birthdays and they're more than helpful sourcing cakes and helping decorate.
I cant recommend the Telesilla highly enough.
