Kaiti Apartments were exactly what we expected from the Brochure
Quiet, clean, and in the most perfect location.
The apartments are actually bungalows, with balconies overlooking gardens filled with citrus and pomegranites. They are furnished with all you could want for self-catering, the beds are comfortable, the shower always hot, the cleaning always done and nothing too much trouble for the staff. We loved the peace and quiet, we had the choice to chill out on our own or join others at the pool and bar next door, where we were made more than welcome. An amazing choice of Tavernas in Koukounaries, or a 25 minute bus trip into Skiathos Town, where you really are spoilt for choice. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: We were allocated a smaller apartment as a couple, which was ample for us, another couple had asked...

Just got back from a 2 week stay at Kaiti - Koukounaries - Skiathos.

The place is great, great gardens and quite, clean and well kept - cleaning lady visits every 2-3 days to change sheets and clean the pace.

Hot water went off one day, we left a note on the door in the morning, by the time we got back in the afternoon from the beach Kati was waiting with a bunch of grapes, she rang her son and within 30 minutes he and the electrician turned up and within half an hour the water was back on - really good service.

Definitely will go back again. Hope they stay with the UK agents Thomas Cook as many have owners have gone off with other European companies - it would be a pity if Kaiti Studios are not available next year and onwards.

There's not much I can add to the other reviews. Unlike bec05bailey I wasn't bothered by Kaiti at all, we said hello but that was it. I was in studio 3, which was clean and had everything needed. Alex, Kaiti's son is the one you need to talk to if you need anything, his English is very good. The studio was quiet and gave me the seclusion I needed.

As mentioned in a previous review Mandraki is the beach to go to for a little peace, to get there I suggest you wear something a little more substantial than flip flops as you when you take your 30 minute stroll through the national park to get there there are a couple of places that will need some 'sturdy' footwear.

If I return to Skiathos I'll definitely check on availability here.

More like a spacious bungalow than a apartment. Positioned at the top. Sett off the main road and up a slight incline the accommodation was surrounded in beautiful gardens. It was spotless and well equipped. Lovely big terrace to sit out on. No pool. Towels and bins were not cleaned and emptied often enough but we just got on with it and did it ourselves. Two really good supermarkets and plenty of good restaurants. Captain Michael's was our favourite both the food and company were fantastic. Michael was a real character and loves talking to you. Whenever we passed he would chat and give us gifts of grapes and fruit and ouzo. When we left he gave our two teenage sons presents. Stamelos bar very friendly and the cocktails are lush. The bus service is absolutely fantastic and reliable and goes every 15 minutes. Skiathos Town is really laid back and great to wander around. We didn't like the main koukarnaries beach and chose to walk through the lovely scented forest to get to the three beaches Mandraki/Agistros/Elias. Eliasi was our favourite. Booked a boat trip with an English man called Peter in Skiathos town, it was an eight man sailing yacht called the 'Tuni Boni'. We sailed all around skopelos and the sea and scenery was stunning. Stopped for lunch on Skopelos and we all eat together. 100% the best trip I have ever done. Skiathos was a great holiday.
Our only down side to this holiday was the owner Katie who was constantly in our accommodation altering things turning the fridge off and moaning. She does not speak English but she certainly gets her point accross

Have to agree with FINDOL.we stayed at number 4 kaiti.which is really like a small bungallow set behind the rest,at the top of the hill.2 twin bedrooms,kitchen/diner and the usual sh&sh.very clean with all the utensils we required.(even beer mats).kaiti herself was wonderful, bringing us home made cherry juice, pomegranets etc.with its position there was hardly any light pollution, hence sitting on the balcony on an evening the night sky was amazing.I would like to find a fault but can`t think of one.as findol said,if you have been self catering in greece before you don`t set your sights too high.if you want 5 star accommodation you pay 5 star prices.would have booked again for next year only it wasn`t in the early brocure.even so still going to koukounaries nex year.

We stayed at Kaiti studios for 3 weeks this September and would recommend 100%! The studios are ideally situated just off track next to Stamelos Bar, follow track up and take 2nd left its advisable to take torch as gets bit dark during the evening. The studios are spacious and come with kettle toaster and 2 ring job. We took tin opener always useful doubles up as bottle opener, handy for the Mythos! Local buses superb every 15 mins from 8am - 12.30am only €2 into Skiathos town! If you plan to eat in town try 1 restaurants next to small shore behind the bus terminus very romantic! I would recommend Posieden for any boat trips, the Mama Mia trip fab! Back in Koukounaries u must walk to Mandraki Beach, takes about 30 mins through national park, track next to Caravos Hotel beach is beautiful €8 a day for 2 beds and parasol make sure you try the home made chips sprinkled with herbs from the taverna, to die for! Would recommend Captain Michaels, Muses and Strofilia to eat out.All in all fab fab resort.

Lets get one thing straight - when we travel self-catering to Greece we go with reduced expectations so we are not dissapointed. Thankfully we were extremely happy with Kaiti Studios. We had the top Villa which was secluded and spacious for our needs. The gardens and views were lovely, situated in olive trees and lush greenery. The bedrooms were good sizes with more than enough storage. There were plenty of power outlets and sites for mozzie plugs. The kitchen facilities were way above our expectations with a huge fridge/freezer - Heaven.
Despite temperatures reaching 42c we managed to cope with small electric fans just, to save money instead of air-con. There was NO problem with wasps - numbers no different to UK.
Agreed, towels and linen were not changed as often as we were used to/ nor toilet bin but these things you DEAL with as part of the experience,
It was my birthday out there and Kaiti saw my banner - she gave me a bottle of handmade cherry cordial...Delicious.
Eating out was great with NO problems in quality or variety. We mainly ate at Captain Mihalis who was a terrific Greek gent with a million stories and a wonderful warm personality. On my sons birthday he supplied a cake and presentation bottle of Ouzo ( for a 14 year old!!).
We also ate at The Big Bad Wolf which sounded cheesy but food was lovely.
Stamelos Bar/restaurant was another local one which also had quality food including an Indian/Chinese selection.
The Myrtias complex had a Greek Night every sunday night and was a BRILLIANT night out.
The local pool we could use was a short walk away and very welcome with lovely bar food.
Bus service to Skiathos town was very regular and efficient ( 2 euros each way).Be warned it gets very busy towards mid afternoon onwards on return with all the youth travelling to Banana Beach.
Skiathos town was a great place to go and walk around shoping or gawping at the staggeringly awesome moored boats of the rich and famous.
WE NEVER book trips through reps and were glad we didnt. We saved a fortune on two trips on the POSEIDON boat - Skopelos Trip and Around Skiathos. EXCELLENT value for money and so very friendly.
The local beach at Koukanaries was BEAUTIFUL - gorgeous sand with no stones etc to negotiate getting into the sea....just pure clear warm water.Okay...it does get busy as boats come in and the beds are not cheap (for 4 of you) at * euros for 2 plus parasol. But you are there for the sun and sand and water. My only personal gripe was with smokers!!!.
Mandraki beach, found by walking through the pine forest was equally gorgeous and had nice facilities for eating etc.
It was quite expensive all-in-all when buying essentials from supermarkets etc and on the whole a meal for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys tended to fall between 40-50 euros but was kind of expected.

To summarise - we found the accomodation and location perfect. All the food we had was lovely.AS always we found the Greeks friendly. Beaches were lovely, trips gorgeous, island was lush and green, buse service reliable. Would we go again - HELL YEAH!

Room Tip: WE had the higher studio where we found it a little hotter than lower down the hill. Maybe the 2 low...
