“2nd visit and glad we did”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

This was our second visit to Myrtia having booked as soon as we got home from last year's holiday. We instantly felt we had come back home and 12 months since our last holiday had flown by. Everything was as good as we remembered last year. Thanks again to V and Maria for looking after us and keeping the atmosphere so welcoming. We 'ate in' 4 or 5 times, including the Greek nights, which are really good value for money. One suggestion we have though is maybe change the entertainment around a bit as it becomes a little samey. But the food was definitely better than we remember last year!

Pool and surrounding areas are always kept really clean and even after a couple of evening storms, the next morning everything was spotless.

We will be back again if we can get a room!!!!

First time to the island and really enjoyed it.
Stayed here for a week with my two boys and mother.
Landing was great fun,its a short runway..!
Apartments in a lovely location in a forest, short walk down to the most amazing beach ive been too, perfect for small kids.
Pool lovely and bar great for snacks and also did food on a evening,we didn't try those as we preferred skiathos town.
Apartments basic but fine, loved the bus journeys down to Skiathos town,so funny squashing people on.
Really quiet on a evening so no outside noise.
Beautiful island and would defo go back.
Only downside the terrible transfer, the bus driver dropped us off at wrong resort,so we had to get a taxi, all Thomas cooks fault,no reps on bus(cost cutting)After repeating the name of our hotel twice to him he assured us we where in the right stop,so we got off.!Also we got picked up over 4 hours before our flight was due to leave..!Taking these issues up with TC.
And the mozzies are beasts..!!take lots of various insect replant.
Book you wont be disappointed travelers.!!

This was our first time in Skiathos and we absolutely loved it ! Such a beautiful island and the Myrtia is an ideal place to stay and travel from. Close to koukounaries beach the best one on the island and at a bus stop which if you choose the right time is easy to get a seat.
The staff at the myrtia were first class, very friendly and helpful and couldn't do more for us ! We were in skiathos because my now wife and I were getting married and V and the rest of the staff arranged the transfers and put on an exceptional spread of food it was amazing, decorated tables, starters, salads, meat courses, seafood and to top it off a cake ! This has got to be one of the best places I've ever stayed the grounds are beautiful with fruit trees and flower gardens, rooms are good size and clean, pool is a good size never a struggle to get a sunbed, the food is exelent, there is a different menu for day and night but everything I had was top notch and I am I bit of a food conneusoir ! Ha ha . Specials every night and often some entertainment ,
I would like to thank V, Stephanos, Marria, Antonio, Elias and anyone I missed off for a fantastic time ! and one last thing get some sleep V ill see you same time next year !
Love Daniella and Esther and all the wedding party!

Room Tip: This isn't a really big place and all rooms are close by I wouldn't of minded which one I ha...

Me and my husband spent a week here in early July, we collected our hire care and Skiathos airport and proceeded to our destination Myrtia Summer Village, this small collection of apartments is set in a lovely woodland area and is so quiet(we requested a room away from the bar), the apartment was basic but perfectly adequate and surprisingly very cool without the use of a/c(room 341) If you do not have a car, there is a walk to the main road where there is a selection of bars and restaurants, the one we liked the best was the Big Bad Wolf.We always have a car as we like to explore the area more deeply. There are some lovely beaches on Skiathos, and using the local bus or hire car would be useful. The staff are very helpful and i would like to mention Vangelis who was extremely helpful and who listened to my husbands banter on a daily basis, he deserves a mention for that alone. The village cat took a liking to me one day when i was not feeling to well, stayed with me all day, never saw him again when i was well, very strange!! So if you are considering this place for your holiday i would recommend highly, do your research google earth it, and i dont think you would be disappointed.

Room Tip: 341 is away from the pool and bar area, so very quiet.

Right...here goes!! I suffer from panic attacks and depression so holidays abroad are hard! When my boyfriend said we where going to Skiathos I was terrified...no hospital on the island...Greece being 'basic'! I read the reviews on here and everyone seemed to love it so much I made myself just get on with it! As soon as I landed I felt relaxed - I thought it was just relief from getting off the plane! When I arrived at kouks I immediately loved it!! We walked down the track to Myrtia which I had read about so wasn't too surprised, the sound of the crickets was amazing...though I didn't see one the whole holiday! The welcome at the Myrtia was great! The room was massive and I instantly felt so safe I just relaxed! On the evening we had tea at the bar...omg the food!! I have never had the courage to eat anything but margarita pizza abroad before but the smell and the look ok the food...I couldn't help myself!! Moussaka, tzatziki yum yum!! I met the famous V and Marria!! What actual lovely people!! Being a panicky person I like to keep to myself sometimes and they just let me be who I wanted to be! Some night I just said Hi and other nights had lovely chats! They smiled all the time and I knew they d look after me if I needed them to...which I didn't! Greek night was amazing!! We went both Sundays and just loved it...again the food was yum!! Each time we we're put with couples which we gone on with famously!! V and Maria make the hotel what it is and I just can't wait to go back!! There are 24hr surgeries on every corner, the supermarkets are great and the big bad wolf is my second favourite place to eat! The beaches are out of this world and although they re a bit of a walk it's worth it and I felt my legs where toned by the end of the two weeks! Sorry for rambling but I just loved it! Booked for next year...my mission is to look as good as Maria in hot pants!! If your thinking about booking...do it!! It's fab!! 319 days and il be back!! Can't wait xxxxxxxxx

Room Tip: We had ground floor...loved it!! Room was for 3 and we only booked a double so loads of room!

First time ever in skiathos, and thanks to myrtia summer village and their fantastic staff, it won't be our last.Right from the word go we were made to feel like they couldn't do enough for us.After only 3 days we had seen more than enough from the whole "myrtia experience" to let them host the wedding reception, and organise the transport to and from wedding for bride in taxi and 26 guests on the coach. They did a fantastic job and cannot fault them.Thankyou for making this special day even better. The experience I've taken away from this place was 10/10 for us, this also being the same opinion of the other guests I spoke to.The place is good for kids of all ages.300 mtrs approx from main road( although along an unlit gravel road.with a small torch it's no problem).Tennis court/small football pitch. Ping pong.
Rooms nice and clean, adequate for self catering. Air con thank god!!
Thanks to Vlatko, Marria and all of the staff at the Myrtia summer village.

Having holidayed in Skiathos on numerous occasions over the past 25 years, we already knew what an idyllic place it is to spend 2 weeks holiday. Our requirements have changed somewhat as we are now the proud owners of a 16 year old male "inbetweener" !! Trip advisor proved to be the ultimate tool for selecting our choice of venue. The reviews for Myrtia were very informative and have now proved to be extremely accurate. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were amongst old friends and family. The stress free, easy going, fun filled but relaxed atmosphere created by The Gaffers (Vlatko - the dancing prancing joking Hostess with the Mostess and The Brothers Stefanos & Panos charming and ever present) made for the perfect environment to unwind immediately. The ever smiling hard working Marria, Keen to learn Barmen Leon & New boy Ilias were only too happy to tend to our every request. Our son revelled in the 3 P's Pool, Ping Pong & Pizza. The latter grabbing all the headlines thanks to Antonis's 5 Star skills in the kitchen. Indeed the range of culinary delights on offer throughout our stay were enough to keep us out of Skiathos Town !!! Greek nights were a favourite and well attended by guests and hosts of non residents too with copious amounts of food on offer for the Princely sum of 15 € per head. The rooms were adequate for our needs. Safe, shower, snooze. Cleaned regularly, sheets changed and close to all amenities. The grounds are well laid out and tended to a high standard. All in all a superb place to holiday. We made many new friends, all of the staff, some returnees to Myrtia others first timers like ourselves. I would highly recommend Myrtia for anyone who is looking for a friendly well run hotel complex where you can be yourselves and get away from it all. Thanks to all the people we met who made our stay a very memorable one. N.B If you do stay at Myrtia please have a Spotify account. Vlatko is only too happy to learn about all genres of music and will let you spin your own tunes.

Room Tip: If you don't like late nights choose a room away from the bar area.
