We are just finishing a week here and have found it to be a good base from which to explore the island. The pool area is very busy - too busy for us - we haven't been able to get a sunbed by the pool until yesterday and it can be noisy with children playing. Lovely for families but a bit noisy if you want a relaxing break. Less busy the last few days.

Studios basic but adequate and well-cleaned. You do need a torch to walk to the main road after dark. Lots of tavernas and supermarket close by.

What a great holiday! After our 6th time visiting the Myrtia, it just seems to get better and better every time. The atmosphere created around the bar, restaurant, and pool area by Vlatko, Marria, Stefanos, Panos and the rest of the team is very welcoming for first time visitors and those who have visited before. As a family, we have found that there is always entertainment for everyone's tastes, from pool games, including water polo during the day, to football matches or table tennis tournaments in the afternoon and movie nights at the restaurant, Vlatko and his team really do go all out to ensure everyone is involved and getting the most out of their holiday. The weekly Greek night on a Sunday is also not a night to be missed, the food is out of this world and the night seems to get people of all ages up and dancing. The new addition of Antoan and Katarina to the team giving massages and stretches around the pool has added even more relaxation, smiles and laughter! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this fantastic and unique destination that has brought years of happy holidays to our family, and many others. If you are looking for a great place to spend a memorable two weeks with the family, then look no further as Myrtia Summer Village is the place for you!

If its an isolated ,back packing , bus commuting , glostraphobic beach holiday at £2k , this is the one for you !
Do your homework / research , its not what the reviews say it is !
Off the beaten track , poor amenities . Poor service unless you are a repeat visitor , no hire cars , ferries flooding with bathers to kookinarus beach , sand dissapears ! Queuing up to get in sea ! Research ! It may be better off peak or off piste ! Wont be back to find out

What a great place to spend a holiday, apartments were excellent and well cared for.

The food was very good." V " and his staff looked after all of us in a great ( and there were a few ) and professional manner with loads of laughs.

Certainly going back to the Myrtia Holiday Village again.

Room Tip: All accommodation looked great, and no complaints from our group of family and friends

This was our fourth year at Myrtia. Have already booked for next year. We don't know what our year would be like if we didn't return to the best place in Greece. Once again we have had a wonderful time with our very close friends V, Tasos, Stephanos, Panos and Dinos. We have also been introduced to new very close friends Maria, Hlias, Antoin and Katrina. It is these people that make the Myrtia what it is. A little gem in the whole of Greece. There was a new chef this year and his food was excellent, Rachel especially liked his blue cheese sauce!! It is not only the staff who make a holiday but those friends who return year after year. It is a sign of how good Myrtia is when people keep returning. Myrtia is always kept very, very clean (grounds, pool, rooms, restaurant etc) and this is a credit to all the staff who work very hard to make your holiday enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. On this visit we hardly left the hotel, happy to relax by the pool, play pool games, to join in football and table tennis tournaments. It is great that all ages come together and have a great time. This is how true friendships are made. The Myrtia is this kind of place. It is so relaxing people just get along. We have made many friends who work at Myrtia or are visitors and we hold them as very close friends and can't wait to see them next year! The entertainment at the Myrtia during the day and evening is absolutely fantastic. V's rendition of 'Trailor for Sale or Rent' needs to be seen. Greek night is amazing and gets better every year. There are films and dancing which is great, if you witnessed the Dirty Dancing lifts we're sure you will agree!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all at the Myrtia, we miss you all and are counting the days before we return . All our love Ady, Rachel, Joshua, Tabi and Grandad (Rod) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just arrived home after our 2 weeks stay at these appartments and very disappointed with the whole holiday. We booked this hotel due to the oh ! so good reviews ( these were made by the same people that come back every year, to meet thier friends and noisey families), how these people boast about this place astounds me. Saying that fab weather. All sun beds were taken by 7.15am so we went to beach, to find the over crowding by hundreds of people ferried in on boat trips by midday. Long walks to any other beach made it difficult in the heat. Skiathos town was ok, went by bus which after waiting for 3 buses to pass (as they were full of people coming off the beaches) so don't go during busy times. Rooms were what we expected, but the noise of the people above us with the thudding of feet, scraping of furniture and screaming kids, was not what I call a peaceful holiday. After day 4 we were ready to come home. Pool was noisey with football playing by men, I was hit by the ball many times. We felt outcasts by holiday makers as they all new eachother (not nice), the staff were pleasant enough tho. As your surrounded by trees be prepared to be bitten by mozzies (39 bites in 2 days grrr). Every day was like Groundhog Day at this resort. This resort wouldnt be half as bad if it wasnt for the same holiday makers that come back year after year (very clanish). No shops in the resort just 2 supermarkets and a handful of eating places. Night time be prepared for children running around and watching old movies. Some people were told off the rep the plane on returning home was delayed ( not us tho) and also we were not told that the plane needed to detour to mainland Greece to refuel, this just put the icing on the cake.

if you want isolation ,back packing ,bus commuting ,over crowded beaches and mediaoracy .this is the one for you !
just got back from 2 weeks of this !
please do research on campus ,areas ,hire cars (none available ) ferries shipping bathers to beaches ! couldnt see sand , weaver bugging to get into sea !
DO NOT let reveiws help on booking , most of these are posted by replicant re visitors ,who in turn sit in their clicks n clans hogging the amenities and hosts attensions !
main road with a few bars n eating places . heavy traffic buses n bikes speeding through no path !
peace n tranquility none ! children running a mock evenings to 1am ! parenting bah !
sun beds be down at 6 you can hear alarm clocks going off ! will never call germans again !
the only positives SUN and a BEAUTIFUL island , just the wrong end !
LEZ .

Dear Mr. Lez

We were very sorry to hear about your experience. It is a matter of fact that Skiathos is a very popular destination that tends to get very busy during August. Perhaps, it would have been more suitable for you to visit our beautiful island on a low season period such as June or September. Alas, let me just say, on behalf of the hotel management, that we value your feedback and will make sure to pass your complaints on the owners as well as Thomas Cook.
