Set in a beautiful square by the church. One starter very good, cooked cheese with peppers. My starter was supposed to be a special local dish of smoked pork in balsamic vinegar. This was very dry and well well over cooked.
Onto the main course. My wife ordered stuffed chicken that was supposedly cooked fresh. This arrived flavourless and had obviously been cooked some time earlier in a balantine. The meat had a very strange texture.
I ordered the special oven lamb(kleftiko). This arrived well presented but was just awful. It was described as leg on the menu. What I received was fatty, boney neck or scrag. The flavour I would put to mutton not lamb.
On collecting our unfinished plates I queried the leg of lamb and the amount of fat and bone. The owners reply was "perhaps you had a small piece of fat".
I corrected him as there was far too much fat and I stated that it was not leg. He shrugged his shoulders and did not come near us again.
As an ex butchers employee I know my joints!!!
Very poor food and very expensive.
My advice....find another restaurant.
