We called in here for breakfast following a lovely walk along the beach. We wanted to enquire about availability of rooms. We chose to sit at a table with a fabulous view of the sea. I assume the lady who came over was the patron and we were promptly asked to move to an empty table since the set tables were for residents only. We were directed to a table without a view. With such a warm welcome (not), we decided to move on to another place and We found a beautiful place further down where we experience the usual fabulous Greek hospitality. Shame on Dandidis! Avoid and go to one of the other welcoming places.

CONS:
The rooms were small as previous posts had said and the shower is very irritating to use. No shelves and everything falls everywhere, the entire bathroom gets soaked no matter how you try to contain the nozzle, very tiny and uncomfortable shower. Bring your shampoos and gels with a hook to hang on the rod so you aren't constantly dropping stuff or kicking over stuff.

Beds are rock solid, we weren't able to sleep well at all for our 7 nights, unfortunately. Woke up stiff and cramped and sore and we're only in our mid-30s! Bring a pad or something if you have one, we tried to use the blankets to pad it up, but it didn't help. Very uncomfortable.

The main woman was a bit cold to us every day until our very last day. We smiled and say hi, but didn't get much back from her...kind of an unwelcome feel. She invited us down for a "welcome drink" our first day and encouraged us to pick something from the cooler, when we really didn't want one. We figured it was a nice gesture so we each picked something. She wanted to talk about the room, but then after she explained everything we decided to order another drink and a pizza and admire the view. Well, we asked for our bill which included our "welcome drinks", too. I assumed if you offer drinks they would be included...apparently not, so be aware. Maybe she had something going on, so I don't want to judge...but it was very uncomfortable when we tried to smile and say hi and didn't get anything back. :(

Everything at the hotel cash only...with having free internet you'd think they could get the register app or a swipe app, it's so easy to do these days... That limited the time we spent here for food, etc...as we paid our entire room in cash.

PROS:
A/C was so nice to have at night! No extra charge for AC.
Internet free and sometimes sketchy, but not bad considering we're right on the water.
Location is great, Agios is a very cute and friendly town and this spot is right next to Hotel Romantica which had live Greek dancing 2 nights a week which we participated in.
All rooms have a balcony and the view is fantastic to wake up to every day! I love this town and will probably be back in the future, but will stay somewhere else now that we know the town better.

Tips: The chairs/umbrellas out front of the hotel charge you $5 per couple to use even if you are a guest, but you can go along the beach and plenty of restaurants will take you for "free" so long as you are a customer. Buy a cocktail and enjoy the beach!
We were there late June and the water was chilly, but still swimmable. Our last day was just amazing and we spent about an hour swimming and snorkeling, gorgeous! The beach is a bit rocky so water shoes are a good idea if you have them.

There is are two travel bureaus in town and we used them both for trips to Paleo, Albania, and Corfu town. We suggested the trip to Paleo and Corfu town evening town be extended as the time spent there was very short and the very nice and accommodating tour rep said he agreed and that may be changed as of now.

Everyone was so welcoming and kind!

Just returned from 1 week staying at Dandidis Pension in Agios Gordios. It is in a perfect beachside location. The rooms are small but comfortable, kept spotlessly clean, with a balcony overlooking the beach. Aircon was good and the fridge was a welcome addition. The bar/restaurant downstairs was nice and relaxed, and served a variety of food all day. All in all we were very happy with our accomodation choice.

Room Tip: Room 21 and 24 on the top floor have a little more privacy outside, as they are end of property rooms, and have a frosted glass panel facing next doors balcony.

We enjoyed a relaxing week staying at Dandidis which perfectly matched our expectations. Dandidis is one of the very few locations in Agios Gordios that is located directly at the beach front with rooms facing the beach. The sound of the sea and the view from the balcony were superb, probably one of the best you can find in Agios Gordios. The rooms are rather small and simple but complete (AirCo and fridge) and have been (tastefully) refurbished in recent years. Our room has been nicely clean (daily service) and we were satisfied by the service provided by the friendly owners (a Greek-Austrian couple) and their staff.
The breakfast exceeded our expectations setting Greek standards. Although we have been mobile (rented car) and we usually prefer to have dinner outside the hotel, we occasionally had dinner at the associated taverna: frankly, we have not noticed much difference to other "(highly) recommended" places (in town), but certainly having less choice.

In summary, a comfortable and clean accommodation with superb location. Very good value for money. We could not find any fault and we warmly recommend Dandidis if you plan to stay in Agios Gordios.

Room Tip: No significant difference between first and second floor rooms in terms of view. Second floor rooms are possibly (even) more quit. There are four (sea view) rooms per floor, the balconies of the outer rooms ("corner rooms") have more privacy.
