“Splendid hotel in a wonderful setting”
Reviewed 21 July 2011

We stayed here for a week at the end of Jun 11. The hotel is set high up into the rocks so the views are to die for and it is situated right on the beach but there are lots of steps to climb to get down to it, but you do walk along a lovely shrub lined path but believe me it is well worth it . The decor of the hotel is first class with very comfortable seating in all the lounges and bars.
Our bedroon was lovely and spacious and tastefully furnished with a gorgeous bathroom with a brilliant hairdryer supplied
Beach towels are supplied and changed as you wanted
Dining there is easy as both the quality, freshness and variety of food is excellent in the restaurant
The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone as when we were there it was full of people of all ages, some of which had returned many times. The entertainment was good and most nights it was on at the rooftop bar which is lovely. We walked into the village a couple of times and loved the cocktails at Madison Garden. We went into Corfu town for the day on the local bus at 9.00am, when it was cooler and walked the harbour and the old town which is well worth seeing
Would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone as when we were there it was full of people of all ages and we will definitely be back next year

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view. If you stay in the bungalows you have to walk more

Spent a great fortnight here June into July, the weather was superb.
Staff are great, food was good , without being boring, plenty of choice, but they seemed to get thing's a bit mixed up at time's with the white wine being warm(had to request a glass of ice umteen time's)and the red chilled, don't know what was going on there. The rooms I thought a bit small, but ok, kept clean and tidy with pleasant staff.
The position of the hotel is it's crowning glory, set back slighly from the beach, perched on a elevated position, all the room's have a sea veiw, a walk along the beach is a must, be it for a lunch or a meal at night, got to say the return walk is a bit of a climb, but worth it, highly recommended,

Love the fact that this was an 18+ hotel!
That hotel is beautiful situated and most rooms have an ocean view. Rooms are big enough and what you are allowed to expect of an 4* greek hotel.
House keeping did a great job.
We rented a car at the hotel to explore the island: a must for sightseeing and a great time.

Hotel had a great atmosphere. A lot of activities are organized to keep you entertained.
The food was great and there's a wide variety to choose from. Agios Gordios is a nice, smalle town with lots of restaurants for a good meal. The beach is great.

The hotel is great for couples who are looking for a romance and/or a nice relaxing time.

We just returned from a week in Corfu staying at the Aquis Agios Gordios Beach Hotel. The hotel is situated on a steep hill and you have to walk up and down some stairs, to get to the pool and the beach.

The staff are generally very friendly and there are a couple of stars, the guys from Romania in the restaurant offered amazing service, better than I've ever experienced in any Greek hotel.

Food was always of a very good standard, and we never found that food ran out even when we attended close to finishing time.

I would definatley return to the Aquis Agios Gordios Beach Hotel, and I thank the staff for making it such a great experience.

We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful & romantic all-inclusive hotel. The hotel is located on the side of mountain of Agios Gordis Beach. It is our favourite beach in Corfu Island as sea water is quite clear, clean and not very deep for swimming and snorkeling.
Temperature of the sea water was just nice during our stay ( end June). The all-in benefits allows us to grab drinks whenever we want from both Tunell bar ( beach) & Pool Bar ( swimming pool ). We hang out at the hotel's swimming pool during our 1st day. The sunbed and umbrella are provided for free but you need to be there early in order to get one. I notice some people were trying to 'book' their sunbed by leaving the hotel's blue towel before heading for breakfast. This is actually unfair & rude even the hotel has a written note in advance which doesn't such 'booking' but people still do so!! There is also tea time from 15.30- 1700 which offers some snack, sandwiched, coffee & tea. We prefer staying on the beach as it is less crowded but sunbed & umbrella cost 7 euro at the beach. We didn't use them as we have our own umbrella & mat .
For our room, we are happy in overall even there is something to be improved. Mattress is okay & comfortable to sleep. The is a mini bar & kettle with complimentary beverages & convenience for those who need some hot drinks at night. Balcony is big enough with sea view. We had a mixture of sea view and 'roof view' but is alright as we stay on the beach quite often. However we think the room's toilet is too small. Drainage system was not so good and our toilet is without a window. No hotel slipper & bathrobe were provided ( maybe is 4 star only ).
As for the meal ( Breakfast, lunch & dinner ) were all served in buffet style. You can go for a la carte at other restaurant with extra charge ( 20% discount if not mistaken ). Food were good especially breakfast, I think. Lunch & dinner seem a bit repetition but is good still since we stayed only 3 days. We went to the roof bar for some chill out after our dinner. It is very romantic to chill out with some drinks while watching the amazing sunset. Drinks are also provided for free with some Greek Live Music ( check out the timetable of activities & shows at the reception ). There are also 2 small jacuzzi pool at the roof bar & sunbeds but we didn't use it. Please be reminded the hotel is having ' Director Gala Dinner ' on every Wed night which require formal wear. No slipper and shorts are allow even you are on holidays :(
Over all we think the 'all inclusive' plan is a really good idea. Food & beverage that provided has good quality & standard. During our stay there were more senior tourist ( german & uk ). It is not an issue at all to us even we are young couple from Italy. The bars don't play R&B or hip hop music but we enjoyed as well some slow & nice music esp the Greek songs. We will be back if return to Corfu!

My boyfriend and I spent a week at this hotel from 20th to 28th of June and we had a FANTASTIC time!
We arrived at 4:30am and were greeted by the lovely night receptionist Dimitri who made us feel extremely welcome and sent us to our room with a nice sarnie and a bottle of water! Thumbs up!
When we woke in the morning and opened the curtains we were DELIGHTED by the stunning sea view from our balcony. The room was lovely, minimal, great air con and mostly very quiet (excluding each morning with the early morning door slammers sprinting for there full english after throwing there towel on the lounger!) But not really problematic.
Food was good, service a little slow when trying to get a drink, and the "juice" was rank! Cranberry was ocean spray so that was bareable. Lots of lovely salads, plenty of Feta and olives, fresh bread and grilled fish!
The steps down to the beach and around the hotel were a great way to burn off all the booze and food we were consuming. Unfortunately I was having too much of a nice holiday to count the numbers of the steps but some LOSER further down in the reviews has done that for you!!!!
Views from the hotel were amazing and down on the beautiful beach it was pretty spectacular looking up at the hotel submerged in the middle of cliffs and greenery! The beach was nice and secluded and there weren't too many annoying kids in view. The sea was clear and a great temperature for swimming an generally cooling off. It was 7euros for two sunloungers and an umbrella per day but hardly seems alot when everything else is paid for.
Entertainment wise, the general clientel were a bit older than us so I think music etc was more geared towards the oldies. (No Offence Oldies). We actually ventured out of the hotel to find our own fun! Most of the bars were dead but we had some lovely cocktails in a beach bar called Ark. We went there with the two single chicks that we met at the hotel and the strawberry daquiris are die for! same goes for the pina colada . . . .and so on!
The highlight of the holiday for us was the beach party organised by the hotel! Much more appropriate for two boys in there 20's!!! Officially the party finished at one, but we danced in the sea til gone 3! Great fun! And our single ladies loved it too!
The weather was beautiful the entire week. And we had an amazing time. One major issue was that it went too quickly!
We checked out of our room at 12 on our last day and our flight wasn't until 3am. No probs there, stored luggage with reception, ate at the hotel with NO extra charge and had plenty of room to shower and get ready for our departure in the evening.
If you are looking for a holiday of clubbing then you should probably go to Kavos, that's where all the chavs were heading on our flight. However, if you're after a relaxing holiday with a chilled atmosphere and lazy days and evenings. This hotel is the place for you!!

Don't forget your insect repellant! the mozzies are sods!

Just returned from a lovely week staying at this hotel. My partner and I have never been so relaxed and chilled out. Fabulous sea views from everywhere in the hotel. Having a vista of swifts and swallows soaring two and fro with beautiful sunsets lighting up the sea. The sea was like a mirror and so clear and very refreshing in the constant sunshine.
The food was first class and the sweets are a work of art as well as absolutely to die for. I miss those puds so much.
Thank you to all the staff for the excellent service they provide. I can find no faults with this holiday at all and we will be back.
