“Fantastic relaxing holiday!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2012

We were looking to re-visit Greece again for a relaxing holiday and we found it in this lovely hotel in Corfu. It was all we were anticipating and we have come back totally relaxed and refreshed.

Our room was on the 5th floor with spectactular views over the bay. The room was spacious and clean with everything we required (fridge, kettle etc.).

The food in the hotel was excellent, with an amazing amount of variety - we really do not know how they do it! - everyday there was a different choice, with some lovely lunch-time different fish dishes on offer. They even did a gyros option to take-out if you chose. The salads were great, as was the great choice of fresh fruits. All in all we could not fault the food at all. (Although some did, mainly people who had just done a weeks cruise first, and a certain party of 4 we met who complained about everyting were obviously only after compensation - just best to ignore these sort of people!)

The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We will visit again - a great all inclusive holiday!

Room Tip: Personal choice but if you don't want too much walking book in the main hotel and not a bungalow...

Adults only so suits us, once you have had no kids splashing and shouting it is a holiday must for us. Hotel reception very efficient and friendly, we were upgraded to a bungalow with the extra living room with was fabulous, plenty of space.
The food was excellent, something for everyone, good choice and the greek salads and typical greek food was fantastic.
Plenty of sunbeds to use and the beach was popular with many folk,
The animation team were good especiallly Mickey who got plenty of activities going for the teams including darts, table tennis and water polo.
All round little to complain about apart from only 1 bottle of water on arrival and no tea or coffee makings in the rooms all to buy yourself which is unexpected when you are all inclusive!!

We are here now, it's amazing, stunning, great weathe, if you want just to chill and relax this is the place for you. Food is good, well every thing is great in fact. Staff are very friendly, the animation team are great, we will be back.

Room Tip: You need to be in the hotel and not the bungalows, they are very nice but a trek up hill to them

The standard of cleanlines and friendliness of the staff is first rate.Even if there was a strike on the thursday. This resulted in rooms not being cleaned and the food being served being poor at best. The facts surrounding the action would have to be confirmed but we were told that not being paid for some time was a strong motivator. The surrounding area is very nice with some lovely local bars and excellent restaurants. An unfortunate side effect of all inclusive hotels is difficulties this then causes local businesses whom we all want to remain and add original charm to the area, an important part of any visit I guess..Although a hilly area there are some lovely walks around the town and I would suggest a visit to Corfu Town,a half hour journey on modern transport for only 4.40 euros return per. person.

Just returned yesterday from the Aquis Agios Gordios Beach Hotel. After booking another holiday but getting cold feet after reading reviews on the resort and hotel I cancelled and changed to this hotel. I'm pleased we did as we have returned happy and relaxed after a week of very hot weather and beautiful surroundings. The resort itself is very pretty and quiet. The views from the hotel were fabulous; thanks to the hotel for giving us probably one of the best rooms with regards to being central but in a quiet position. We went to sleep on the first night listening to the sound of the waves beneath us....bliss. One of the reasons I had changed my booking to this hotel was because we were staying for our anniversary and I had wanted a clean and modern room without having the fear of being invaded by mosquitos and there wasn't one in sight! Our towels were changed regularly and the room cleaned every day. As mentioned there was a kettle and cups provided in the room but no tea/coffee. Sachets were available in the restaurant on a morning to take but there were never any left when we asked, but that certainly wasn't a probem and we bought some from the supermarket next door. The restaurant was pretty and spacious but because of the number of guests the tables were extremely close to each other and there wasn't any order to getting a table making it a bit of a free for all which I think could be improved by the restaurant manager greeting guests and showing them to a table, something I would have expected for a platinum hotel. The waiting staff were friendly and very hard working and if service was ever slow we couldn't complain as they were doing their best. We were half board and I'm pleased we were, as I would hate to think I was tied to the hotel for all food and drinks. We love our food and we are not fussy eaters and what was offered was ample but not brilliant. There was a great selection of salad and the meats we ate were really tasty. We went half board because we didn't want to be tied to a hotel as I guess some people would be, if they were all inclusive, so we ate out every day for lunch in the resort. The Alo Beach bar provided a really chilled out atmosphere and the quality and presentation of the food was delicious. The Sea Breeze was also very nice and after having read reviews on Sebastians we weren't disappointed...great friendly service and lovely fresh food. Try Maddison Gardens for cocktails, fab!. We did find drinks expensive but we expected this and as mentioned by another reviewer, since the hotel has gone all inclusive the local restaurants are quieter, so its good to spend a little there or there will eventually be no resort left to go back to. The sunbeds were plentiful but those with parasols were hard to find after 10am and as usual towels were on the beds from quite early on. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we couldn't have asked for a more scenic resort providing fabulous sunsets!

Room Tip: we were in an end room on the fourth floor of the main hotel away from any noise

We have just come back from a weeks holiday at the agios gordios beach hotel. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean, friendly hotel with great sea views then this hotel is perfect. We went all inclusive and couldn't fault it. Breakfast lunch and dinner was fine, I'm not the most adventurous with foods but I always found something to eat. You never expect to get the same sort of food in an all inclusive than what you would in a proper restaurant. Ice cream was available to snack on all day. I know there isn't tea and coffee supplied in the room but their is a shop right next to the hotel so it's not a big problem. We did go out for dinner one night along the beach at Sea Breeze which was lovely and they were so friendly. I would definately recommend going here if you fancy a meal out. The views from the hotel are stunning and the sunsets are lovely. The hotel is set out so well that mostly everywhere you look you get to see that clear blue sea! The temperature was about 35 degrees everyday so we were really lucky! I want to give a special mention to Micky from the animation team who we loved and thought was great fun! He managed to get people involved with the activities that were going on. My boyfriend especially enjoyed the water polo which seemed to be a big hit with all the fellas. We would definitely come back if we were looking for another relaxing holiday!

Room Tip: Our room was on the 3rd floor right In the middle of the hotel which gave great views over the sea!

We returned this week from the Aquis Agios Gordios and we had a fantastic holiday. Mostly down to the people we met but the hotel did not let us down. After reading through the reviews on Tripadvisor, we hoped to be proved wrong about the food etc but sadly, we did feel a little let down. The breakfast and lunch were fantastic, lots of choices and you can't fault the service of the waiting staff. Always friendly and couldn't do enough for us. However, the evening meal was at best, hit and miss. A good choice but on occasions, the decriptions of the dishes didn't always match up to the taste and look that you would've expected. We did end up eating out 2 evenings.
We thought that all the public areas were very well kept and the rooms were bright and clean. We took our own tea and coffee with us and the hotel will provide milk if you need it without question. We did find it odd that some things are included yet others aren't. Surely the whole point of going all inclusive is that its just that, all included....?
On the whole, excellent holiday and would definitely recommend it!
