Am writing our review from the pool at this fabulous hotel. There was a little bottle of white and one of red wine to greet us in our room, along with a "welcome cake" and things just got better. Agree with all previous reviews, it's heavenly here. Shower not the trendiest but chucks hot water over you, which is all we need from a shower...
Nothing is too much trouble for these lovely hard-working people. One if the friendliest hotels we've ever been to. We will defo be back, maybe more than once. Superb

Stayed here for a birdwatching week and were really pleased. From our arrival the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a balcony looking over the dried up pool to the beach and bay. Although the pool is no longer full of birdlife, we were able to sit and watch the occasional black stork, squacco heron or marsh harrier from the balcony.

Food & drink was excellent in both quality and value. Breakfasts were always substantial, buffet style and the fixed price evening meal at 12 euros was excellent value. Mythos and Fix beers were good.

Loads of walks around the area, we never hired a car. The only negative comment would be the bathroom, a small shower where the curtain clung to you at any opportunity, but that's normal for Greece in our experience.

Room Tip: Room 225 had a good view over the pool to the bay, and an active house martin's nest on the balc...

This is a simply great hotel, staff so kind and understanding.Rooms cleaned 3 times a week and bins emptied daily. The room is large, very clean, comfortable with a balcony or terrace.Plenty of hot water for showers and generous wardrobe space. The hotel will provide you with a kettle, cup saucer etc for an early morning brew. The grounds are immaculate tended very professionally, with a lovely pool area.
The restaurant serves great, plentiful food and the evening meal of soup, starter, main and dessert is a joy to behold all for 12euros!!Folk came to join us from other hotels as the quality and value was so good..
Last 2 weeks in April and first 2 weeks in May Lesvos has many birdwatchers, but they are only to happy to tell you 'nice' places to walk and explore around the island.
Many thanks Kalloni Bay for a wonderful 2 weeks....I'll be back!!!!

Room Tip: Ground floor if you don't like stairs.

Another 2 lovely weeks at The Kalloni Bay Hotel. Fantastic staff especially Efi and Stratoula nothing was too much trouble and they were always smiling however busy they were.
The rooms were comfortable although would benefit from updating especially the shower.
The food was plentiful and good.
We will return.

My wife and I for the last 30 years have been all over Greece we have been self catering and B/B but believe me this is the best hotel we have stayed in I'm not going to give you any flannel but the food, staff and the cleanliness and condition of our room was perfect and the grounds of the hotel are a joy.Skala Kalloni itself is a nice quiet village it has the typical Greek square where the children played well into the night, don't take any notice of the negative remarks about the tavernas they were all ok.If you are the kind that needs loud music etc this is not the place for you but if you like a place where you meet the same people every night and share a bottle of wine or a pint or two well Skala is certainly the place for you.We were there last year the first two weeks in July and today 15/2/2014 we have booked another two weeks at the Kalloni Bay Hotel

Room Tip: I can only comment on our room which was on the 1st floor with a garden and mountain views and was s...

We stray here from the 7th to the14th of September. Typically Greek but very comfortable. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. We were on the ground level. The breakfast certainly set you up for the day. Both cooked and continental. The staff were cheerful and could not do enough for you. Ideally situated practically on the beach. Just 10minutes walk to scalla Kalloni. Will certainly stay here if we stay at this resort.

Room Tip: The evening meal. Three course for 12 euro's

This was our second visit to the Kalloni Bay hotel and we enjoyed our stay this time just as much as we did two years ago.
The hotel is in a great location near to the lovely sandy beach and the sea as well as being only a short walk from Skala Kalloni village where there are a lot of good places to eat.
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming even those who only spoke a few words of English.
Thsi time our room was on the first floor and from the balcony we had a good view of the sea and the hotel gardens. The room was spacious and attractively decorated with a generous amount of storage space. Unfortunately the bathroom was in serious need of renovation (we had the same experience with the bathroom two years ago and had hoped it would have been updated by now). The breakfasts were good with a wide range of food.
The hotel has free wi-fi which we found useful and we were able to have a safety deposit box.
Overall, the Kalloni Bay was ideal for us and we would certainly stay there again as it is a great location for anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor at the front of the hotel have the best sea and garden views
