“we had the best holiday ever!!!!”
Reviewed 10 June 2009

We went to club magic life knowing that it was a german hotel,ws a little worried at first how we would be excepted, Should'nt have worriied. All the staff and the entertainment team were all fantastic. They could'nt do enough for us! we will certainly recomend it to othere people, and hopefully go back our selves next year. Also we made many friends there, all the holiday makers were very nice to us. It is also fantastic for families as the kiddie club team are brilliant with the kids, there are loads to do. The food was first class, and the rooms spotless. Thankyou magic life for the best holiday we have ever had, and we have been to lots of places, this was the best. David & Joan Clark. Scotland..

It is hard to pick out the positives of this place. We were only there for 3 nights, luckily. I understand that it is basically a German/Austrian catered hotel, Im not going to complain about that (I could, but I will focus on other things).
The place is FULL of children, running around uncontrolled, even at 10 at night. Eating there is war, there are so many people that it just is not a pleasent experience. Rooms were very basic and not very clean. The guests were not very friendly, and quite alot of the staff were pleased to see us because we were British. Its funny how you think you have a terrible replutation abroad but often I find that people find us much more polite than other nationalities!

The positives would be that there are so many activities laid on that it probably would be fun for a teenager, or some families. The staff were great (as they always are in Turkey)The beach is right infront with unlimited watersports.... thats about it.

If you go, make the most of the activities. Dont stay int he hotel too much or you will probably turn mad by the end.

Oh there is a zoo at the bottom of this hotel. Enjoy the cockerel singing EVERY morning.

My advise? Go to the Alinn Boutique hotel 5 mins away. That is paradise...

I was in Sarigerme with my 2 small children, parents, extended family etc. My children were 18 months and almost 4 years old. I wouldn't recommend this club to anyone with children of this age. It's just not babyfriendly.
In the restaurants, there aren't enough babyseats. There is not much special food for them, just 1 kind of 'purée', no special dessert (less sugar, or just mashed fruit...), no meat/fish/eggs. Luckily, my children aren't too difficult when it comes to food. Well, they ate a lot of french fries, rice ...
To go to the pool and the beach from the main building with he 'poussette', you have to cross a kind of mini zoo. I don't care about that for myself, but I don't find that very hygienic and safe with small children. You have to slalom between goat-sheep-goose faeces, there are lots of insects, and it's very steep ...
It's quite a contrast with the rest of the hotel that is quite neat. When you finally get to the pool, and you have to change your baby, you have to make the same trip again. One other thing: I couldn't leave my children (asleep) at night to get a drink at the bar because the hotel is so big that my 'baby phone' didn't reach far enough.
The food (for grown ups) is really good, the rooms are a bit old fashioned and 'worn out'.
And you better speak some German, because EVERYTHING is in German (animation, games, signs ...). I found the animation crew and the Turkish personnel quite distant, and it was difficult to get to know the other guests.

Booked via Thomson.

This is a German hotel designed for German speaking people, English speaking guests are accomodated at a very, very basic level.
There is simply no International atmosphere, the German, Austrian, Swiss and Turkish only flags give a clue as you enter the hotel, all the signs around the Hotel prioritise the German language, with broken English, or no English there at all.
Myself and my partner had great difficulty communicating with any of the staff, with most of the entertainment spoken almost entirely in German, we ended up trying to speak German to the staff in a desperate attempt to communicate.
When enquiring, we were told that we were the only English speaking couple in a heavily booked up hotel, that makes 99.9% German speaking.
All the staff greet you in German and back off nervously when they discover that you do not speak any German.
I would say that, from staying in 4 and 5 star hotels around the world, that this hotel barely scrapes a 3 star rating.
The TV facility in the rooms only have German and 2 Turkish channels, no English channels even news channels, when complaining to the Guest services manager (who's english is not good at all), she mentioned that the hotel has no plans to add any english tv channels and that she had received complaints from several other non German speaking guests about this.
The room itself (villa style) is very basic and small, with a tiny shower, no bath with most of the bathroom in the main sleeping area (?!?!?), there is no shaver point, leaving our electric toothbrush non operable.
There is also no kettle in the room, no room service and the minibar only contains soft drinks.
The a la carte restaurant food is of a good quality, but you will have to book 24 hours in advance, the restaurants are situated on the roof of the hotel, meaning that you will be at the mercy of the elements (we had 2 storms and had to give up half way through our meals).
After two days of constant difficulties we contacted Thomson to request a transfer to another Hotel, we however decided to 'grin and bear it', leaving us counting the days until we finally left and came home.
Neeles to say, I would not recommend this hotel to any non German speaking guests or those expecting 4 or 5 star facilities.
