We thought it fantastic value a wonderful tropical isle feel with tropical gardens winding all the way through the grounds and that wonderful lagoon pool in the middle. Kids club twice a week during Winter school holidays. It would be good if they heated the big pool more for winter but the small pool was well heated and the kids were in it til after dark!, Unit decor is average - at least in ours (#70) and the garden outlook from this unit here could be improved by simply adding a few more lush plantings. Unit felt spacious. Being opposite the river was great Hire kayaks , or a boat out front and grab the ferry to noosa central. We recommend it and will be back!

Dear Mr and Mrs 'Perrioz'
Thanks you for staying and for the feedback. I will ask our Back of House to immediately look at the gardens - this is great feedback for us as you stay in the villas and experience the gardens differently to us so your feedback is great and and its something that we can act on immediately. I am pleased that you thought the villa was spacious and enjoyed our pools, good that villa 70 is near the heated pool so the kids didn't have far to go. . Thanks for the positive feedback about the Kidz Club as staff run it so this is a great acknowledgement to Maureen and Terrie. We look forward to welcoming you back.

We were disappointed with several aspects of our 5 night stay: the hiring rates for stair gates (we had to get 2 due to layout of the unit), which didn't open, and a high chair. Each piece was rented for more than they were worth. A 3 level unit ended up feeling cramped due to its layout. Reception closed at 6 and thus we couldn't access help with foxtel; and they would not let us check out an hour later for our baby to nap. They just said no without an offer of help or any other spot we could use. Pools were nice, that's about all!

Dear Mr and Mrs Anitapgalli
Thankyou for the feedback. Considering that each of us has a different take on situations its a very rare day that I feel compelled to write to a guest to say that I am not sure what we could have done to make your stay better.

It seems you are particularly upset we could not assist with a later checkout although you were aware when booking that checkout is 10am.

You requested a later checkout of 1.5 hours for your child's morning sleep to depart at 11.30am when checkout is 10am. We explained is was a busy day and we had an arriving guest expecting to checkin by 1pm and that we tried to honour our commitment to villas readiness as we did had for your arrival.

You asked me for an alternate place for your child's sleep and I suggested the kitchen area in the Guest Clubhouse which is usually quiet even though its near the lagoon pool however it was not dark enough and you were then upset as I could not provide the Meeting Room as we had a conference in house.

In relation to the other feedback.
- Reception is open 8am to 6pm 7 days a week and guests are advised of this on our resort map on check in. I am sorry we were not there to answer your call after 6pm but how to access Foxtel is documented in our Guest Compendium in the villa.
- You called us before your arrival enquiring about the hire of a cot and highchair. On this call we advised you of the stairs and layout of the villa and that it was a newly painted refurbished villa with new leather lounge- you advised that your child was okay on stairs and called back the next day to ask us to organise the $35 hire for a highchair.
- On checkin we provided the baby gates at no cost to you - they are usually hired at $28 / gate.
- You stayed on a 20% special. To keep tariffs affordable for guests we advise that excess cleans will be charged. The clean after your departure was 20 mins over the 2 hours limit and as we could not assist in the later checkout we waivered the charge.
- In addition the baby gate was unnecessarily screwed to tightly into the wall by you so that the newly painted villa wall had a hole in it - we paid for this to be repaired and have not charged you for this damage.

On the 2nd day you were in house we called to check how your stay was. You advised the villa was lovely and the stair gates were working well.

Thank you for staying. I am sorry about your feedback. It would seem to me there was nothing we could do to have made it better for you other than to compromise our promises to other guests.
Bula Cathy.

My wife and I stayed here in early March.
We ran into some travel problems, so had some emails back and forth with Cathy, who did everything she could to make us feel welcome.
The resort is near the beach, but tucked away behind the shops so nice and quiet.
They have some deals with the local restaurants, so you can get a slight discount when you eat out, and there is plenty to choose from.
The apartment was really nice, split onto 3 levels. we were overlooking the tennis courts, which was quite pleasant. Everything we needed was ready for us so we could relax straight away before going out to explore the area.
Overall a very good experience.

We just got back from staying for 5 days at the Islander. The resort is spacious and really gets you into the holiday mood, with little touches like Hibiscus flowers in the unit and a lovely pool area, tennis courts and sauna. The unit was very well priced, there was no surcharge when our son and his daughter came to stay for a couple of nights. The villa was a little dated but immaculately clean with everything one needed. Friendly staff, great little cafe within the complex too.

Room Tip: unit 51 was were we stayed, nice balcony within the tropical garden over looking the pool but still...

Our villa fronted on to the main pool area with hot spa only steps away. The BBQ area was beautifully clean and well maintained with a kitchen. There were ample lounges around the pools for sunbathing. Our tiny patio was furnished with a table and four chairs plus cushions and surrounded by delightful tropical garden. The villa came equipped with a full kitchen (no oven), microwave and all other kitchen paraphernalia you could require - bonus all in good condition too. The two bedrooms were upstairs ,main overlooking the pool area with a king size bed, very large and comfortable. Second bedroom had twin beds. The bathroom was extra large with shower and had been renovated. The second toilet and clothes washing area was outside the kitchen door-downstairs.
This resort is very child friendly but all became quiet by 8:30 p.m. so very suitable for older guests to relax as well.
The front of the resort overlooks the Noosa River with Ferry terminal for the 15 minute ride to Noosa if desired. There are ample restaurants, cafes, take aways, shops and shopping centre in the immediate vicinity - all within walking distance.

Altogether a very large, beautifully maintained and reasonably priced resort. I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: If stairs are a problem ask for a villa with no stairs

Dear Mr and Mrs 'Silver-Budgie-Oz'
Thanks so much for staying and for the great write up about our resort and facilities. I am sorry we didn't let you know that the microwave in this villa is actually a convection stove as well - we could have helped you use it and I apologise about this.
Housekeeping were pleased to read your feedback about the cleanliness of the villa, thankyou for this and our Back of House also thrilled to hear your comments about how well maintained the resort is.
Thankyou again for being our guest and we look forward to welcoming you back to stay.

We just had a weeks stay at the Islander Noosa Resort. The Resort has a lovely family feel and we were very happy with our accommodation. The pool is lovely and the tennis court was fun! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is great, just across the road from the river. There is much to do and many choices of places to eat. Highly recommend for people who are looking for good value :-)

Room Tip: Our room was at the back by the tennis court and was lovely!

The Islander is well placed in the middle of the restaurant and shopping precinct of Noosaville with direct frontage onto the Noosa River. A walk before breakfast along the beautifully landscaped Noosa River finishing with coffee at one of the myriad of cafes is a great start to the day. The Islander is beautifully landscaped in a tropical theme with boardwalks, little streams and a nice lagoon pool. The rooms are not 5 star but are comfortable with good beds and self contained kitchen facilities. A great place for a holiday with kids and good for couples also
