“Moonshine is magical from the moment you arrive.”

Moonshine is in a fabulous location on Pagham beach. The beach cottages are a quirky and individual bunch of buildings from hipster grand designers through to railway carrriage cottages owned by generations of the same family. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxed and friendly. Dogs and their owners scuttle or stroll past depending on the time of day, the beach is almost a bay with gentle winds even when easterly. The cottage is a series of railway cottages and a real home from home loved by its owners, who provide their guests with everything apart from food, which can be bought from the local coop for hasty provisions or a great coop in Selsey which also has the best butchers we have ever been too! For a treat The Crab and Lobster is not too far and looks over the marshes in another gorgeous spot and of course Chichester for people who cannot live without MandS, a cathedral and an art gallery. St Martin's cafe is great in Chichester. But actually the best thing is walking down the beach, up the beach, looking at the beach, sitting on the beach, drinking coffee in the morning from the vantage of moonshine and a glass of wine as the sun goes down and seeing the moonshine after midnight. We stayed 4 nights but it felt like two weeks and it took so little time to relax. A really really great find.

“Quirky property in a great location - fab sea views”
Reviewed 16 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We had a lovely stay in Moonshine. The views to sea from the wall to wall windows were wonderful - morning, afternoon and at night - the moonshine on the sea was fab. The property is quirky - mainly compact except the main lounge / dining space which is lovely and spacious - all well described in the details. And it was lovely and warm although it was pretty cold out. And the owner was very pleasant and helpful.

“Perfect weekend getaway”
Reviewed 24 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

My other half and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend away for our anniversary at the end of November. He has fond memories of Pagham, having holidayed in his grandparent's holiday home there as a child. We could not believe it when we saw that their old property was nextdoor to Moonshine! It was a very nostalgic weekend. Moonshine was clean and tidy, with fantastic views and quirky charm. We enjoyed the local fish and chips and visits to Chichester also. We will be back - what a beautiful holiday home.

“If you want to stay at a little place on the beach - this is it!!”
Reviewed 9 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

This is the second year we have booked a weekend away at Moonshine. It is such a quirky place in a beautiful location - the beach is your back garden. Chichester or Bognor are nearby to visit if you want a trip out or you could just stroll along Pagham beach. We have been in November and December but I should think it is a treat any time of the year. And watching the moon on the sea at night is just stunning - we can see why it is called Moonshine!!
