We only stayed for one night and that was enough,on entering our bungalow the heat was unbearable the radiators 2 off were on full (in July) and 1 could not be turned completely off, I left having a shower until 6.45pm big mistake no hot water left, The room directly behind us had some young girl guests the noise at 3am when they arrived back was unbelievable there is no room phones for you to call security if there is any, Car parking is totally inadequate,The carvery had only one choice of meat which was rather well cooked/dry and be prepared to be seated with total strangers. On the plus side the staff are excellent.

Quality of food was way below standard expected of a 5* establishment. In particular the vegetables were either inedible and/or lukewarm. Salads were tasteless and clearly produce bought on the cheap.
Range and portion size was good, and after a couple of days you learnt to help yourself from the servery just to be sure of what you were getting.
Seating arrangements were the worst I have ever experienced, seats were so close together the waiters were passing food plates over your head!
Waitresses were wonderful though and did their best given the food they were serving.
Penny pinching to not offer tea/coffee with lunch menu.
Customer service was excellent when I complained, however, that did not mean they could improve the quality of the food.

My wife and I go to this hotel about 4 times a year and have been going for 15 years. We stay in the hotel rooms which are spacious and comfortable and each time we arrive the staff always remembers us. The food and entertainment are Top Class and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a lovely break. We had our 65th Wedding anniversary here with all our family.

Room Tip: We always stay in the hotel it's more comfortable and convenient.

We stayed as a party of 8, with age ranges from 3 to 93! Great staff, cleanliness and comfort. There was someting for all of us, the conversion of one bowling rink to a children's play area with toys, ball pond, huge inflatable bouncy castle type obstacle course, bmx tricycles, kiddies go karts, all well supervised and in clear view of the bar and coffee shop, was a masterstroke. Entertainment first class (though I wasn't too keen on Jedward, the 6 year old loved them!). Mark, the entertainments leader, is probably faster than ever . If you have a sense of humour, he and his friends will have you in tears of laughter, and you will see him interacting with guests from breakfast until late at night. Food straigtforward with wide choice, and plenty of it (if you want nouvelle cuisine, this is not the restuarant for you!). Will probably take a larger family group next year.

Room Tip: Worth paying a little extra for the main hotel rooms, although chalets comfortable.

I have visited Potters many many times over the past 20 years and never once have I been disappointed. I visit with my family but also with my mates for weekend breaks. It is suitable for all.
The evening entertainment is always very good and there are plenty af day time activites (free of charge) to join in with as well as lots of sport facilities.
I always find Potters a great break away, however short or long.
