Once again an excellent stay at potters, I've been many times but this was the first Xmas ball. Lovely to get all dressed up, the entertainment was great ,food wonderful, staff first class, and the added bonus was the free confection table in the theatre in the evening
Highly recommend potters

A brilliant evening started with a sumptuous 5 course meal and wine followed by dancing in the Atlantis Ballroom with a live Motown show band who were outstanding. The bungalows are well furnished, neat, comfortable and tidy. Breakfast caters for everyone's needs with a huge selection and the staff are all exemplary. The facilities throughout the establishment are second to none catering for all ages. This was our 4th visit and we are coming back with the entire family in the summer for a midweek break.

Our one night all inclusive Motown themed night was fabulous. The accommodation was clean and modern with the added bonus of a sea view to see the sun come up. Very nice meals with very pleasant waiting staff. Will definitely be going again.

Overall we had a very nice time at Potters, our first as a young family.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was of a good quality, bearing in mind they are catering for so many people, and the general appearance of the place was very nice.

We stayed in a bungalow plus, and with 2 children this was ideal, if perhaps a little cramped. But the decor was nice and it was clean which is really what matters!

The entertainment in the evenings was good, although not aimed at a younger audience, and the spa was very nice - both my wife and I enjoying a massage which was lovely.

Unlike the vast majority of reviews on here, I couldn't rate it 5*. Whilst I appreciate that this weekend was designed with children in mind, I don't think it would have hurt to have just one 'childrens meal' option shown on the menu at dinner time. Whilst both of my boys enjoyed eating what was on offer, I can imagine for some parents, this could make meal times a bit of a chore.

I also think that again, whilst this wasn't a weekend break aimed at children, a couple of very basic activities could have been laid on to cater for those children that were there. This wouldn't have to impact on anyone else, but perhaps a story telling session, or a half hour of craft making, or showing a disney film etc would have made the kids feel a little more welcome. When the weather is awful and you can't use the playground or crazy golf etc. I don't think it would have hurt to just orgainse a very basic activity they could enjoy and enable them to play together.

Another tiny 'issue' was that when it did rain, there seemed to be buckets everywhere catching rain leaking in through the roof. I just felt that this let the place down a bit and gave a slightly bad impression? Just a small thing though.

Lastly, I also felt it should have been mentioned to guests that the sauna etc would not be available to use - infact it was being dismantled whilst we were using the pool! This unfortunately did spoil the experience of using the pool as the builders inevitably made a lot of noise and the pool had bits of debris in it. Perhaps the work should have been carried out at a different time? I also think the pool is too small for a resort this big.

Overall though we did have a nice time, and we would like to go back, but feel it would have to be on a 'family' break, which unfortunately, appear to be the most expensive and therefore not easily affordable!

Room Tip: We liked our room and it's location. We stayed in a bungalow plus, room 'O'. Pretty quie...

We have been to Potters four times so far on a bowls break and each time it seems to get better. The cottages are mostly small but clean, tidy and comfortable. This last trip we opted for the hotel and found ourselves in a very large room with two double beds. There was a sofa and armchairs too. OK this cost a bit more but VERY worth it.
The food is excellent and as we also do cruises occasionally it is up there with the best. The staff are excellent and always ready to help. The bowls is well run and the carpets good. We actually got to the 1/4 final this time, only loosing to the eventual winners. Highly recommended, we are already booked for next year!

Room Tip: Pay the extra and book the hotel!
