“Lovely”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

We went for a walk along the seafront before a meal. It was high tide but there was still some beach which was busy. You can walk the promenade or on the path above the beach huts. There is a large car park but also free parking on the sea front.

“Take a walk or ride along the sea wall”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

We took our bikes along the sea wall from Minnis Bay towards Reculver. A stop just after the Reculver towers at the King Ethelbert pub was well placed. It's a free house with really great grub. You can hire bikes in the summer from a bike shop at Minnis Bay. Enjoy!

“Walk along the front”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

What a lovely place to visit. Lots to see if you like watching the serious wind surfer in action as always busy. Lots of beach huts along the front too. a decent pub near the beach, as is a cafe and ice cream stall. Try to avoid if wind a little high as liable to get blown away along the top!

“Amazing for all ages”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 via mobile

Had a beach hit here for many ŷears and it was fantastic. It's a great place for young children to swim safely as the tide goes out miles and they can stay in depth and view. As stated the sunsets are amazing with Reculver as the haunting back drop. Their are cycles to hire and either walk or cycle to Reculver it's wonderful. You can walk the other way and stumble over rock pools galore. It really does have something for everyone, and the cafe on the beach has really helped. If you have never been you are missing out. Get a barbie swim late evening, and then sidle back home you cannot beat it.
