Its the kind of place you want to keep a secret, but the restaurant deserves the fame, and my fellow tripadvisors deserve a pay back :)
The food is a wow, fresh ingredients, symphony of tastes. Its not the kind of weird gourmet that only few can tolerate, its hearty gourmet that everyone will love. Service was good, the experience a total pleasure. For the 28 ero lunch menu, wish we could come every day.
Reserve! it gets booked fast.

Friends from Aix - one of them a local girl from Ansouis - invited us to this place when I asked them to take us somewhere special for 14 juillet. The restaurant did not disappoint, simply one of the best meals I ever had in France and a huge change from all the mediocre restaurants in Aix-en-Provence. Service very friendly and the setting is just marvelous. If in season you can sit outside even better. It's a small place so reserve well ahead if you plan on coming here. They got a michelin star awarded last year, can only conclude that it was well-deserved. However, don't expect any of the usual michelin stuffiness when you come here :) - I talked to the chef afterwards and he said if the star would change his clientele too much he'd gladly hand it back to them.
Would definitely come here again (and again).

Exceptional value at €28 for an absolutely lovely lunchtime meal. The flavours of Provence were combined in every plate and we found interesting textures and aromas in very mouthful. Dining capacity is mall (12 on the terrace overlooking Luberon fields, perhaps 20 or so inside) so be sure to reserve. Service is friendly but a little inconsistent, with Delphine clearly the master of la Salle, but her assistants friendly, but flaky. (We got no "amuse bouche" while another table of 4 having the identical menu did. When questioned, the reply was that it depended on the menu chosen. It did not. Disappointing. Consistency is important.)
Pace of service was relaxed in keeping with the atmosphere of the surroundings. But the food was fabulous. Congratulations Chef!

This was our "last night in Provence Celebration" and we picked the perfect place. We stayed in the Village of Ansouis in a vacation rental and a member of our travel group made a reservation for the last night for 8. We were directed to a private room, which I believe is fairly new. There is a large window to view the chefs at work, this was a treat. So focused. The hostess, waitstaff were lovely. For food choices six people chose the fixe prix menu of 42 euros. This included amazing desserts at the end of the meal. All were extremely pleased with their choices. Presentations beautiful. I asked if I could take photos, and will treasure these in my album. At the end of the service we received a surprise plate of macaroons and chocolates...beautifully presented. I agree with the other reviewers a special place, not to be missed.
