I absolutely loved this location. The house had all the amenities for a fantastic base in the amazing Luberon region of Provence. The beautiful new gourmet kitchen was very accommodating for either croissants and coffee in the morning or to create a lavish dinner from all the goodies purchased at the Regional open markets . The roof top deck was beautiful and comfortable and was the place we seemed to migrate everyday for a Rose Happy Hour and to sample the amazing variety of sausages and cheeses made locally. This was a great opportunity for all to discuss the days events. We were only four people but we thought of returning with a larger group of friends as the house had five bedrooms and 4.5 baths and could easily accommodate a bigger crew. The town itself is very unique and a quaint place with everything one could want within steps of the home . Cafe / bar across the street made a great cappuccino and the the French bakery just around the corner served warm Panne Chocolat and amazing breakfast quiche. (Note to Dads ..it is considered the mans job to pick up the bread every morning). There is also a Michelin rated restaurant less than a two minute walk away with an outdoor terrace looking out over the valley. We ate here twice and both meals I considered outstanding and would satisfy even the most discriminating of taste palettes. Ansouis was easy access to many of the great locations in Provence and the Luberon Region. We took day trips to Chateau Neuf du Pape, St Remy, St Tropez, Luberon, Aix en Provence,, L'isle-sur-la Sorgue ( which I would highly recommend to anyone staying here), and many others. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this house and all the charm it had to offer. It was a very comfortable home base of a vacation I will cherish forever. If you are looking for a scene, this is not your place. But if you can relate to the natural beauty of the Luberon Region, the quaintness of small Provincial towns, open country roads, fields of grape vines and Lavender, beautiful sunny days, amazing food and wine, daily markets in neighboring towns (featuring food, apparel, soaps and accessories) and a few hundred years of history mixed in.......... This could be the place your looking for .....certainly full of comfort, great memories, picturesque landscapes and great exploring.

Loved it......didn't want to leave......can't wait to go back.............

The place is wonderful. The location is great and it is RELAXING. The owner recently did the kitchen and bath and it is the most relaxing get away. Short drive to many points of interest. The owner upgraded since our last visit. The place is fabulous and reasonable.

“Won't Stay Anywhere Else in France - My FAVORITE spot!”

Have been to Chez B in Ansouis twice now, and am planning stay #3. The cozy, historic, well appointed and absolutely luxurious accommodations just can't be compared to anywhere else. From opening the wooden shutters to the clean, fresh air in the morning, to coffee on the 3rd story open air deck, to the daily walk through the village, to fresh market dinner in the fabulous kitchen, and wine wine wine all around in front of the fireplace, lounging on the overstuffed white down sofas... It's pure heaven and I can't wait to go back!!! If you've been to Provence a thousand times, or if you've never been to Europe at all, this is the perfect place to stay!

“The Chateau is beyond magical”

My husband and I arrived at the airport of Marseille for a weekend at the Chateau. We rented a car and headed out to Provence. The drive was scenic, loved the small towns along the way and was surprised that it did not take us too long to get to town. A little over an hour. What we did not expect was to be magically surprised at how beautiful the Chateau is. We were transported. All the rooms in the Chateau are beautifully decorated, each with it's own personality and charm from the living room with grand fireplace to the patios and decks and bedrooms and bathrooms.. The kitchen is fully professionally equipped and begs for cooking. We spent time discovering the equally charming towns around the area. Our only disapointment was not spending more time. We cannot wait to return.

This was our first time in Provence. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed - wonderful kitchen, laundry facilities, lovely rooms, private bathroom to name a few. We rented a car and were able to do day trips to see some of the small towns in the area. I would recommend staying here in Ansouis, such a charming place!!

“Most fabulous house in the Luberon!”

I was so shocked to read a recent review of this amazing house -- those guests obviously don't appreciate life in France...and I suspect it was a very unusual situation...or they are overly sensitive and love to complain. I have stayed there four times and never heard one single bit of disturbance these guests have complained of! The owner of this village house has attended to every single detail and the house is more than perfect and amazingly charming. Each time I've stayed there it is more delightful because Barbara keeps improving it. Ansouis is a gorgeous village -- one of the best in the Luberon and is wonderfully located for visiting the entire area. It's total heaven, so consider the source of any other reviews and don't be dissuaded. You'll thank me!

Staying at the magnificent home in Provence was the highlight of our trip to Southern France! The home boasts old world charm with designer luxury, and provides every amenity we could desire, including a state of the art kitchen. A five minute walk from the house is the centuries old village church....gorgeous and timeless. This was the perfect "base" for exploring Provence, and we hope to return again. Loved the entire experience!
