It is very important to clarify that this is not a hotel, but cabañas.
Compared with other cabañas in the area this one is one of the best.
The rooms are very basic: clean beds, small toilet with only "cold" water (the water is not really cold but room temperature), the water pressure is a bit low though. There are no towels in the room since people staying here often have their own towels along, but you can ask for towels in the reception.
The air conditioner only is activated from 6pm to 10am, it did not matter too much since being at the beach is far more attractive than staying in your room during the day. There is also a fan in the room that you can use the whole day.
The food was absolutely awesome. Everything from the beef to the sea food was wonderful. The cook seemed to be a proffessional cook and you can see a lot of her degrees in the lobby. The prices are "normal" tourist prices with an average of 10 dollars per main course.
The drinks at the bar can be a bit pricey, but if you only need water you can take a 8 minute walk to a local kiosk and get it for half the price.

Room Tip: The rooms in the backyard are more quiet since you dont hear the music from the bar.

We just came back from this place and might not stay here again. These cabins and the area in general have so much potential, but the person in charge just didn´t care too much to make the guests feel comfortable. Whenever we had a request it just seemed that she was bothered to do anything for us. After a 3 hours bus ride to get to La Guaira (which is where you take the motor boat that takes you to the island), the hotel´s reception was closed and someone from the kitchen had to come out to help us. It seemed to be the only person in charge as she was the one cooking, cleaning rooms, serving, etc. The room was fairly basic, but seemed comfortable. The water pressure was very low (awful when all you want is take a cold shower after coming back from the beach!). The cook/concierge, etc. came and took the showerhead off, offering a quick solution to the problem. The bed sheets felt damp and the matress was covered with some sort of plastic. The rooms are not completely sealed so make sure you bring mosquito repelent if you want to get some sleep. There is a hammock and some tables outside the rooms, which makes it nice if you want to mingle with other guests. One plus for this place is that the food was good and reasonably priced. It is about 10 minutes away from La Punta, which is the main beach. The town is quite dead during the weekdays, which is great is you want to stay away from the noise and just relax. If you want to party, I heard that weekends are best. I can´t say much about the beach because it rained most of the time we were there, so didn´t have a chance to enjoy the sun. We will definitely come back to isla grande, but will try a different hotel.

Very nice, but the owner is rude.
Jose the assistant very nice, very helpful.
Bargain the price, at first she asked for $70.00, and I told her no, that I was told that it was $50.00, and she agreed to that price.
