My husband and I spent our honeymoon at MAIA. We got back a few days ago and still don't really have words to describe how amazing the entire experience was. Firstly, MAIA itself is breathtaking - we only left the resort once in 6 days, and it was to go on a snorkeling trip (organized by MAIA). The beautiful gardens, ponds, views - all just completely incomparable. We loved getting a garden tour and learning all about the different flowers, trees, and greens. Our Oceanfront Villa was so beautiful we wanted to move in. The set-up was perfect and we truly loved everything about it, especially our outdoor daybeds, infinity pool, and sunken bath. Secondly, the staff was so accommodating, welcoming, wonderful and generous! Our butler, Rana, was so helpful and set up some amazing honeymoon celebrations for us, including a beautiful welcome decoration, lots of champagne and wine, decorated dinners on the helipad, beach, and in the wine cellar, and more. We had just gotten our wedding photos back but couldn't access them via the Wi-Fi. He kindly turned data on his mobile and let us look at the photos. He also worked with the IT team to get some of the photos on a flash drive for us to look at! We loved talking to Rana and he was so great to us our whole trip. Thank you for everything! We also loved the rest of the staff too, from Anna who introduced us to some amazing new wines, Mike who was so friendly, energetic and set us up in the most comfortable pool lounge chairs, and the whole behind-the-scenes staff who generously helped us with a late check-out and were so attentive to us the whole trip! We also had a great couples massage, leaving us even more relaxed than we knew we could be. Thank you MAIA for the honeymoon of a lifetime!

It appears from earlier reviews that the property suffered from bad management, but definitely not anymore. Our stay in Room 210 was absolutely perfect. Our butlers, Angaa and Gusti, were so warm and welcoming, always looking out for our needs. Since we were there over the 4th of July (and we are from the US), they went out of their way to decorate and have a special dessert made for us to celebrate our Independence Day! Mike at the beach was fabulous, setting up our lounge chairs and getting us whatever we needed while down at the beach. Generally speaking, everyone we encountered at the resort was incredibly friendly and kind. Food was spectacular, and the chef even shared his recipe for butter chicken which was one of the best dishes on that menu (and I made it at home too!). Very extensive wine and alcohol list, with delicious craft cocktails on the menu as well. We had a special dinner set up for us on the pool deck, and then a special bbq that was set up for us - both were great. Do not miss out on the spa treatments. The spa itself was gorgeous but the treatments were also amazing. This is the first time that my family said after a long period of travel that they didn't want to leave. We had a little issue with ferry tickets, but the hotel graciously resolved the issue for us. Overall, a very well run and well managed resort with lovely accommodations. Beds were comfortable, outdoor plunge pool was very nice and outdoor seating area was great. We even had a special bath drawn for us in the outdoor bathtub. I would definitely return to stay there and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a little slice of heaven.

We stayed last week in villa 219 and had the most amazing time. The view was so gorgeous with sunshine most of the day in this villa which meant the infinity pool was a warm, inviting place to be and watch the Seychelles bird and beach life. A big thank you to Maia Resort and spa for being a very special hotel. Our butler Michelle was fabulous at surprising us with the included extra special sundowners, dinners and breakfasts and made us feel so welcome. There are many great staff at the resort who provide great customer care from the gardeners, buggy drivers, restaurant staff including Petra and Brigitte and the management team including Mathew and Lionel, Celia and Besheila. Book it as you will not be disappointed.
