Coco de Mer - Black Parrot Suites

Very nice hotel. Booked the Black parrot suite for our honeymoon. Had a problem on the first night apon arrival where they said there was a plumbing problem. Had to stay in a normal room. Later we heard from the other staff that there were no fault at all in the room. Staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make up for the problem.

Excellent atmosphere and good service. Only issue is being Indian, the food was very bland.
They host small parties in their lounge and it was an excellent delight to dance to the local tunes with the staff.
Inhouse sporting activities provided complementary making the stay and praslin a memorable one

Room Tip: Indians better carry some extra spices

We stayed 8 nights in suite no. 428. The room was nicely appointed, spacious and clean. I would however avoid this room as it is very noisy. It's the closest to the pool and to the restaurant. The restaurant plays loud tacky music pretty much every night until late and the pool can be very noisy. It's probably the only room that gets wifi though... (sometimes, depending on wind and where you are in the room) Wifi is only available near the pool and the lobby. Seriously for a hotel of this class, I would expect wifi in each room... We had one lunch at the hotel and the food was so bad and so overpriced that we decided to have all our meals outside the hotel even though that meant driving to Grande Anse or Côte d'Or. The hotel itself looks great and right by a beautiful beach. The beach is hardly usable because the water there is shallow and the sea bed is covered in seaweed/grass. We found service to be highly variable. Some are fantastic like the guy who looks after the canoes/bikes/snorkeling gear. Others are borderline rude or just can't be bothered (waiting staff at restaurant/front desk). Definitely not a happy place as far as staff is concerned. The location of this resort is good and bad. Good because it is secluded and away from the tourist crowds of Côte d'Or. But it's also bad because you're far from everything - you definitely need a car. We had a good enough stay but for the price they charge, it's just not good enough and we wouldn't go back there.

Excellent views. Great Location. Praslin island is much quieter than Mahe and serene with the beautiful Anse Lazio beach being a definite attraction. Beaches at the hotel are also very good. Delicious Food. Staff are helpful.

Coco de Mer is one of the best hotel I have ever been because you're treated as a welcomed guest and not as a tourist. The atmosphere is just amazing and makes you feel like home. The hotel is very familiar and you can go there as couple, family or with friends. On my trip to Seychelle it was the only hotel where the room was ready at my arrival. The food is excellent and they make everything possible that you are feeling comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the service as well excellent. The rooms are very nice especially the suites. It really looks like on the pictures. The hotel is located at a very nice and quite area with a very nice beach. They offer you great facilities as such as bicycle, Kanu and snorkeling. Further a visit to Anse Lazio and Vale de Mai. They have as well a very nice Spa which I warmly recommend. I recommend this hotel to 200%!

Room Tip: I recomend Junior Suite

Definitely not worth the money! The location and gazebo are very nice. The stuff is very friendly. But no taste, no ambiance even in Superior rooms. And they were not very clean either. Open buffet breakfast and dinner were large in variety but low in quality. Lunch menu (especially pesto pasta) was very fresh and tasty.
To note, we preferred this hotel as a honeymoon location but it is DEFINITELY NOT due to large number of kids and families. There are definitely better boutique hotels with a certain class and taste in Praslin.

Absolutely Wonderful.
So friendly and So personal.
Amazing views from the Black Parrot Suites watching the sun go down...
Loved the afternoon tea idea ... a special mention to Nelson for his outstanding fish curry.
Ideal for weddings. couples, families and single travellers.
Had a day trip to La Digue (a must do) ...Very laid back ... virtually no cars ... hire the bikes and explore...
A very big thanks to Ash, Pip and all the staff ... we would love to come back one day...

Room Tip: We were lucky to be given room 501 at the Black Parrot Suites. It was a large suite on the top level...
