This has been our second visit to the Lemuria after a year. The place is superb. Service is great, food fantastic, people are happy and smiling, golf course is in great shape and the beaches... they are just fabulous. Special thanks to the general manager, who is a really nice down to earth man and knows how to run a great place like this. So Bruno, once more Thank you!

We celebrated our 20th anniversary here, and I have to say we picked the perfect spot. Praslin was "just right" for us; not too busy like Mahe, but still accessible (La Digue, for all of its charms, requires a boat transfer). Constance Lemuria is well appointed and enjoys access to three beautiful beaches. While we did not come to Praslin to play golf, the fact that there was a golf course there was a bonus. Yes, it can be expensive, but then again this isn't a discount destination. We brought a few bottles of wine/champagne with us and the restaurant staff was happy to serve it to us during meals. The food was great and the villas comfortable. My only complaint was that our A/C was weak - allegedly due to generator problems. Still, all in all, a fabulous vacation at a wonderful resort.

I spent 1 week in the Constance Lemuria in Praslin last February (of 2013).
The main reason why I chose this hotel is because of the golf course that is inside the resort.

I must admit, every minute of the stay has been enjoyable.

The personnel is very helpful. They do their best to fulfill your needs and are very friendly.

After an initial briefing at the bar where everything is explained, I was taken to the room.
I found it very spacious. The bathroom is huge and all is elegantly set.
The balcony is nice and well set with table, chairs and a sofa, and a nice view on the garden. The beach is 10 meters away.
The bed itself is on the hard side, which suits me perfectly.
Oh, there is a mac mini in the room (hooked-up to the TV) so we can connect to the outside world if needed.

The buffet breakfast is exhaustive and should suit a large amount of people. The only grip is that it opens at 7, which is a bit late for me.
I had my lunch and dinners in the main restaurant. I like buffet style, all was great, perhaps a little lack of variety on the starters side.
The wine list is un-believably huge and the French sommelier I dealt with is a real professional who knows his job very well. They have exceptional bottles on their list.

The resort is huge, I walked a lot around to discover fantastic landscapes and take photographs.
You can get bicycles by the golf reception if you want to discover the island.
I went around a few times. You can do the full Island in-out within a few hours. Some areas are very steep though, be aware!

The golf course is very well maintained, although some greens could do with a bit of work.
The course is quite narrow and there are a lot of obstacles, mainly water hazards so it is far to be easy.
There is an area to keep your bag safe within the golf reception, so no need to bring it across from your room.
At the time of my trip, the course was very quiet, I could just turn-up and play at any time without booking, which is very nice.

All in all, it was a fantastic trip, so good that I have booked another 10 days in December this year.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have a better view I believe.

Awesome hotel.
We booked due to the great tripadvisor reviews. Good: food, location, activities, beach, pool and relaxation. Not much more you can ask for in a beach hotel.

Being vegetarians, they took care of us every day too.
Lastly, not sure why people get surprised on expensive food at 5star resorts in Seychelles. This is norm really so no need for any surprises!

The Lemuria is a very nice resort. The lower lobby, in which you first arrive, was a shock to us and should be improved as it is the first contact of arriving guests with the hotel. The real lobby in which check-in happens, is much nicer although the check-in process takes ages. Be aware that they try to sell you an upgrade to half board from bed&breakfast (1300 rupees per person and night) which is only slightly cheaper than the buffet restaurant and only pays out in the other two restaurants if you have 3 courses every night (and in addition pick the most expensive ones). Pre-booking half board through our German tour operator would have paid out though.
Staff is very friendly, restaurants are good, beaches are superb (especially the hourly transfer to Anse Georgette).
We are pretty sure that we will be back at some point. The only other high end option on the island is the Raffles, which is newer and very modern. We had lunch and dinner there and also spent a day at their hotel beach. If you want to spend the most of your day at the beach, choose the Lemuria!

Room Tip: The higher room numbers are further located away from the main hotel and beach area, but a buggy wil...

This hotel offers everything you can ask for in terms of relaxation. A very nice and silent beach, very spacious rooms with decent audio and video entertainment system, really good food and service, up-to-date spa and gym.
There are limited number of rooms / guests making sure hotel is not crowded. Boat House offers various tours however it is a bit on the expensive side I must say.
Anse Georgette Beach is also a great option to spend the day.

We stayed at the Lemuria from September 20th to th 27th.
In fact we extended our stay by one day, so good was our vacation.
Actually it did not start that weel, since we arrived under a tropical storm and the services we had booked via the online concierge were not provided.
Apparently the bad weather had mess-up the schedule.
We had junior suites 88, upper floor, a bit far from restaurants and reception, but extremely quiet.
The grounds of the hotel are magnificent and the beaches, petit Kerlan and especially Anse Georgette Worth the trip. The service was impeccable throughout the stay and we were often entertained by the Italian speaking assistants. All the personnel is well trained and provides attentive service coupled with great kindness.
The golf course is very difficult, however it offers dramatic views and it is a lot of fun.
Food is excellent at the Legend. We did not try special dinners, but we had dinner also at the other two restaurants. We did not like much the Sea Horse, may be it was not a lucky night for the chef.
Having read many reviews, I have to agree that the resort is expensive and you pay dearly drinks and food, however in my view it is really worth. Plenty of water is provided free in the room.
Somebody naively complained about abundance of rats: what a mistake. The innumerous holes intothe ground belong to innocent crabs of all sizes.
In summary:
Real excellence:
Grounds and beaches
Service and attitude
Great:
Room decor
Golf course
Food and drink
I would only suggest to put an espresso machine in every room as on the sister property Ephelia in Mahe
