We booked to stay here December 2011 as a pre Christmas break. The Marino was very quiet with not many guests around, however the resort was even worse, we hardly saw a single person out and about, we spent most of our time in Playa de las Americas. The hotel was clean and our room was quite large although we didn't get any sun on the balcony at all. The pool area was clean and there were always lots of sunbeds available. The restaurant was across the pool area from the main building (where our room was) unfortunately the food was not good, not much choice and always cold, don't know why as most nights you could count the people in there on one hand so the staff were not overworked. Would I stay again? probably not - resort rubbish.

We stayed in self-catering accommodation. The studio apartment was spacious, the kitchen well-equipped. There was also an iron, ironing board and hair-dryer and a clothes airer on the balcony. Everything was clean, though the bed linen was a little worn at times. Beds were firm but comfortable. The TV was poor (despite being a flat screen) and there were few English channels. Reception staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was at the front, near the road, but traffic was light. Overall, we found the whole place quiet away from the central pool area. The worst aspect of our stay had nothing to do with the hotel: Costa del Silencio is very windy. We knew it tended to be like that, but it really can be very bad; evenings can be pretty chilly.

Room Tip: Quiet at the front; rooms at the back near the pool might be noisier.

Booked through RCI we were very happy that the accommodation was spacious comfortable and clean. Wished at time that we ere on sunny side of complex. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful.

Facilities on site were fine for us in February, but those with young children might be looking f for more. We ate at Sunday evening Buffet and BBQ. Both excellent an very good value. Entertainment was provide every evening and the times we attended we enjoyed it.

There are several alternative eating places a short walk fro the resort, Everyone we tried was good and excellent value. I would say that a car is essential to enjoy the area and get down to either the quiet coastal town of Las Galletas or the more lively Los Cristianos or Playa Las Americas. We didn't take clubs but golf courses nearby looked inviting.

Room Tip: Rooms 500 upwards on sunny side of resort

This hotel was lovely - it was clean and tidy and the maids came around everyday, the food was ok and there is a shop on site - which is handy for lunches and snacks. The shop was a little more expensive than the one down the road but you could roll out of bed and be in the shop so the little extra wasn't that big a deal.

The staff were all friendly and helpful and on our check out, we had the boring 4 hours of waiting for the coach after checking out, reception gave us an empty room key to store our suitcases in, which meant we could walk around.

The area is extremly quiet, and there is no beach around so if your looking for a beach and booze holiday - this isn't for you. But it was just what we wanted - In fact we ended up having an afternoon nap everyday because we were that relaxed.

Another plus of this hotel is that you are 2 minutes away from Alejendra's and the food there is amazing. I would happily walk all the way back for another bowl of the pasta!

Room Tip: Ask for pool view - when we were on the balcony we were staring at a road and houses.

Spent a relaxing two weeks at this resort in February. Accommodation was in apartment 519, from where there were views of the sea, the sundeck and the pool area. It was spacious and quite comfortable, and reasonably well equipped, apart from the fact that there were no mugs to make a coffee ( had to buy some ).Access to this block of apartments was by stairs, which could be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties. The on-site supermarket was well stocked, but a little expensive, but ideal if you don't want to carry shopping a long way. There are several other supermarkets within walking distance of the resort which are somewhat cheaper.
The restaurant here is very good, we had the lunch menu of the day nearly every day, which was excellent value at 5 euro 50 ( Bread, Main Course, and Dessert ).
The whole site was kept very clean and tidy. There were plenty of sunloungers, with adequate space around the pool, but unfortunately no parasols to provide shade if required.
There was some noise most evenings from the entertainment provided, but usually ended at around 11pm.
We did book one excursion to Santa Cruz and Taganana, provided by Viajestiede. Pick up arrangements were chaotic, The trip was poor value, but the guide was excellent. Most of the day trip was spent on the coach. If you can, visit the market in Santa Cruz, it is very interesting.
Over all, we had a very relaxing stay here, and would return here if we visit Tenerife again.

We enjoyed a week stay in this hotel. It was very clean and spacious. The living space was good and well equipped kitchen. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom and three balconies. A it came out on the sun terrace it meant we could sun bathe whilst our son could potter between us and the room. Would definitely return.
