We booked through RCI and got a huge unit with three balconies and a sea/pool view. We've used it as a base to explore the island, as one day being entertained by the animation staff drove us to near distraction. There is noise from 10 to 10,not too bad, and you can throw yourself into the whole community thing if that's your bag. The other guests are a cosmopolitan mix from across Europe, which suits us rather than all English, or no English. The evening entertainment is very Phoenix Nights - who'd have thought there was a performing dog show still doing the rounds?
The room itself was very clean, if a bit tired in places - no a/c but the fans work OK. The kitchen unit was OK - some fungus on the washing machine rubber thingy put us off. The TV (only one in a 3 room unit) was a confusing beast, but the channels are apparently an issue for most of the island. There is BBC 1&2,and ITV and lots of channels that could be showing English films or cartoons.
One weird thing I couldn't work out was the parking - some people were able to park in the small secured area which was never full, whilst we were asked to park on the street/waste ground round the back and get buzzed in through the gate.
5 minute walk to one set of shops/cafés, 10 minutes to another, and 20 minutes to Las Galletas.
In the car - 5 minutes to the main road, 20 to the airport.
