“Lovely site ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

Stayed for 10 nights here in June and could have stayed for longer! Super site which was clean and well maintained with plenty to do, the kids loved the splash pool and the adult pool was also very good. We hired a car but as the weather was fine we found it wasn't really needed apart from a couple of trips to the carrefour supermarket and the wine caveau. We found the on site restaurant to be very nice compared to previous sites we have stayed at. It's great to hire bikes around the site and local area. Would highly recommend, especially for families with younger children.

Restaurant review only.
We have stayed at this Yelloh site before and have reviewed it as a 5 star. We would give the camping site a full blown 5 star again without hesitation but there is one downside. The "nice" restaurant at the Balneo swimming pool (proper name La Villa) suffers from extremely bad management and service. We had the same issue last year but gave it the benefit of the doubt but again this year we had a really bad experience. We chose a fairly quiet night last week but the service was slow and chaotic. There were plenty of staff around but no one was controlling any of it and generally it was a hit and miss evening. The waitresses looked bored and acted sullen, the bar manager wandered through occasionally (not sure why and didn't contribute). The food was ok but very expensive for what you got. We had many more meals out far cheaper and of a much better quality.
My advice is don't eat there is you want good value and service. Very disappointing again.

We have just returned from Le Serignan Plage and had a fabulous time. We have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and went with a couple who have kids aged 6, 10 & 15. We all loved the site. It is very clean, has beautiful surroundings and is full of facilities as stated in more detail in other reviews (excellent pool for young kids, lots of play parks, bouncy castle, mini fair, arcades, shops, specialist stores & restaurants etc).

We went with Suncamp who were the cheapest company we found on the site and the caravans were modern and clean. The only thing I could knock was that you get an oven OR dishwasher!!!! We got a dishwasher.....not helpful.

We arrived at 9.30pm and despite me phoning Suncamp to remind them we would be arriving after 8pm they didn't let the camp reception know so we had a delay there after a very long day - however the staff on reception were very helpful and a Suncamp rep was close by.

Unfortunately when we finally got sorted all food places seemed to be closed by 10pm (even local mcdonalds) so we had to be very resourceful with food, luckily again the staff were very helpful and boxed us up some left over restaurant food!!!

All in all I would highly recommend this place and found all staff to be very friendly and helpful.

We staying here in our camper for 4 days with our young daughter. The beach was great with easy access. Toilets and showers were always immaculately clean.
Activities for kids were endless!!!
The only negative was the quality of the food at the restaurant onsite. We found better quality and cheaper in Serignan village but apart from that it was great.

We just returned from a 4-day break at Serignan Le Plage (May 2014) and have already booked a 10-night stay in August for our family of 6 - children ages 23, 14, 12 and 10. We tend to return again and again to places we trust will offer value for money (holidays are just too valuable to risk aren't they?), and we have stayed at Aloha which is 500 yards up the same beach for the past 4 years.

The property has a more Continental feel than Aloha, and in many ways we preferred the layout. The grounds are immaculate and clearly they employ a team of expert gardeners - in May there were giant roses and an abundance of other beautiful plants blooming, and tall, neat mature trees everywhere. There are sections of the grounds where the caravans are clearly older, (we avoided booking these) but roughly 2/3 of them are new, very clean and nicely equipped. The beds are ok, and I would say the only thing I missed while staying here was my mattress at home. At 75 Euros/night in low-mid season it is ridiculously cheap, but be warned this rises to 265 Euro in July/August!

TIP - If you are flying in on a budget airline you might want to avoid carrying towels and sheets, which you can rent here upon request - less to carry and avoids the extra baggage charge. You won't save much, but it was nice to not have to transport 3 towels and bed linen for all of us.

There is a large new kiddie pool complex for under 12s which would be perfect for families with younger kids - brand new, super-well-equipped and with lots of areas for grown-up to lounge while monitoring the children. The cafe adjoining the main pool is a bargain at 5-10 Euros per head for a big lunch (salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, kebab - generous portions and v nice service), and the main restaurant is quite excellent, but plan on £150 for a family of 6 to have a blow-out. The bakery is ace, and the grocery store has everything you need at a mark-up of 20% compared to the local Supermarkets. There is even a fishmonger that cooks a massive 100-litre paella in the open every other day - I can still smell it - OMG its good.

We give the kids 12 Euros a day each to generally enjoy and get their lunch, and we cook dinner every other day. Its a middle-ground approach to self-catering that keeps us sane but doesn't break the bank.

Serignan is a lovely expansive beach which is kept clean and never seems over-crowded. The water is cold until June/July, but warmer than the Atlantic for sure. You can walk for miles in either direction and find lots of shells - early morning sunrises are great, and they allow fires on the beach for evenings when we roast marshmallows - highly recommended.

The Spa is very good - be warned it is 100% nude from open til ~1pm every day and no under 16s at any time, so is blissfully quiet. The hydrojets, etc are good, but for some reason I haven't found many places with jacuzzis in France that heat the water past ~20C? We came at 2pm and lounged amongst the olive trees, roses and greek columns - very satisfactory, and free of charge.

So I really recommend this place for families who want a visit that has a French feel to it, but doesn't penalise you for speaking very little French! As ever, try a little and you will be rewarded with smiles and a great time.

Room Tip: Call and ask about proximity to the beach and pools

We spent a very lovely weekend at this campsite in one of their mobile homes and we didn't want to leave!! The facilities are all very clean and there is something to entertain each member of the family, no matter what age. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will be returning to the campsite in the future.

Made to feel the poor relation because we belonged to ASCI
Sent to the farthest part of camp site The facilities were lovely but prices were dear for drinks and food.Phillip on reception was so rude.our friend who was there before us and visits regular twice a year was give a site a long way from toilets and he is disabled although the pitches were empty. This again was down to Phillip on reception.

Room Tip: Avoid this camp site as others in France are nice and friendly
