“Third visit booked !!”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

If you are looking for a place for the whole family to enjoy then look no further. We will be visiting again for the third year on the trot in August and cant wait! We take our caravan with us and have a pitch near the river away from the entertainments area. Yes there is some music playing round by the pool - for about half an hour once or twice a week. Same time as the pool party which the kids loved! Food at the restuarant is maybe a bit pricey but delicious. Pizzas are especially good Its a good idea to book a table. Prices in the shop are very reasonable too. We have always found the staff to be more than helpful and the place is well maintained and kept spotlessly clean. Not enough sunbeds, but tell me, where does?? River is great fun for everyone. I should say - we are maybe a bit picky with our holidays. You save up all year and its horrible when your only holiday is not what you want it to be and you feel let down. Not this place. Roll on August!!

Room Tip: Try and book a pitch nearer to the river than the entertainments area. Evening entertainment finish...

My Husband, 5 month old daughter and bouncy spaniel visited this site on our trip to france for originally 3 nights. After the first night and day we decided to ask to stay longer as the location and resort really impressed us.
It was a solid 14 hour drive (towing a caravan) from Caen and as we(my Husband) drove through the night it meant we arrived at 9.30 am, we didn't expect for them to let us onto a pitch but they were very helpful and allowed us to check in straight away. Could of been something to do with my daughters cute smiles!
We were given a large pitch D17 which was ideal for our 8 metre caravan however the entrance to out row was very very tight. luckily there was an empty pitch on the end so we used that to menovre in. Havent left yet to we will see how we fair getting out now those pitches are full????
The site is quiet on the camping area however the pool does get very busy and there aren't enough sun loungers and brolly's. The lifeguard will not allow men to enter pool unless wearing speedo's which I have to say i find silly. Why are these more hygenic???
We had a takeout pizza from the stone oven and this was lovely.
Need to get to shop early to get pastries in the morning too!
The River that runs along side the campsite was a welcome pleasure for my spaniel and he loved paddling and fetching a ball with all the kids. There is great facilities for kayak users and fun for kids here as there is a man made slipstream where the kids used their inflatables to speed down at a rate of knots!!
overall we would return here and would recommend. Think we were the only english as most people seem to be Dutch, German or French as apart from the odd rude mannered all were very welcoming.
the two shower blocks in the camping zones could do with updating but the were very very cleen! the new block by the bar was excellent and I guess when they replace/ update these two older blocks they will be the same.

Room Tip: Ask for a partially shaded pitch if travelling high season as its very warm. Large caravan and motor...

I would not stay here again.
The pools are very noisy with euro pop all day
Very dismal food
Unclean shower blocks and not very friendly receptionist all too much bother
Not 5 star
And with fears of attracts in the area (see daily mail) the security is non existent
I have never written a review but feel very strongly on this one.

This campsite is composed of 2 different parts, the quiet one is Les Jardins. Choose the bungalows with numbers between J1 and J30. Ask the reception to send you the map. A lot of sports are proposed and a show every night. The foie gras at the restaurant is a really good one. Do not miss Vallon Pont D'Arc for canoe and for the night market.
