“Authentic Provence experience”
Reviewed 28 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We absolutely loved our stay at Maison Martinet- a beautifully decorated, authentic stone house in the centre of Barjac. Parking was easy to find, and day trip opportunities to amazing sites were plenty. I highly recommend this beautiful place! My only recommendation is to add WiFi!

“Beautiful flat with lots of character & charm.”
Reviewed 23 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The place is decorated beautifully with lots of character and original features. Located in the middle of a pretty French village with restaurants, shops and bakery only a couple of minutes away. Although central, very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
All rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and every area was incredibly well equipped.
Large roof terrace with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
Location is great for exploration of both Ardèche and Languedoc-Roussillon and there are many places and attractions to visit within a 30-60 minutes driving radius.
The instructions left by owner were clear and helpful during our stay, plus he gave several nice tips making our holiday very special.
Would love to come back and stay in Maison Martinet and can not recommend it highly enough!

“Charming apartment in centre of historic village”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This beautifully appointed apartment is in the heart of lovely Barjac. The interior is much more like a well-cared for home than a holiday let property. Highly recommended for atmosphere, charm, markets and plenty of places to eat in easy walking distance.
Although central, the apartment is very quiet.
Neighbours very friendly too.
My only proviso is that if you don't like steep steps - this is not the place for you.

“really lovely relaxing apartment in a pretty village”
Reviewed 17 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

If you are thinking of staying in this rental do not hesitate, the location is charming and you feel instantly at home. Great choice of restaurants and little streets to explore. Very friendly people in the village and patient if your French is poor! Beautifully furnished with great stone details and charm, the roof terrace is has an amazing view, would definitely like to return. Great modern bathrooms too, all clean and the ideal place to relax.

“Characterful, tasteful apartment in the heart of a vibrant, historic town.”

Maison Martinet exceeded our expectations. It's right at the heart of Barjac, literally ten seconds from a wonderful wine bar and creperie. The apartment itself is steeped in history and has been thoughtfully renovated by the owner. The combination of rustic stonework and wooden beams, plus a terrace that acted like a gluepot come sunset, made Maison Martinet a difficult place to leave. We stayed there with a 7-year old (loved everything about it) and a one-year old (we had to watch him on the open staircase, but that's all, don't let it put you off), and would certainly do so again. No hesitation.
