Came here with my mum in a grumpy mood as all the shops were closed and we couldn't get milk for the morning. I didn't expect much from a small town / village restaurant, We chose a 28 euro menu from a choice of about 6. And expected very little.
The food was superb. BEAUTIFULLY cooked with skill and confidence. Delicious and not pretentious. The waitress stole our hearts with her honesty and lovely humour . It was a super experience and I cannot think of a single negative thing to say. I am glad we don't live in Matignon. I would be HORRIBLY fat after a very short time.

Monsieur Porcher, the chef, is to be commended for his elegant use of quality ingredients. In particular the sauces which are just gorgeous. some interesting and unusual dishes made this a memorable experience and one that we shall be repeating (often) I hope. I had the menu of the day @ 13.50 for 3 courses and my husband the menu of 28.00 euros both included a good choice of dishes and were generous portions. Madame Porcher is charming and attentive. Together Husband and wife make an excellent team. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant in Matignon was in walking distance from our rented holiday house so ideal in location although there is plenty of FREE parking around it. We were warmly welcomed by Pascale into a beautiful presented restaurant. The food was fabulous from the white truffle ravioli for starters through to the violet ice cream on the rich chocolate pudding for dessert. Attention to detail and quality of food was outstanding. It was good to have a laugh and a joke with Pascale despite our limited French.
Its easy to drive by this restaurant which is on the one way system through Matignon but there is parking outside and on the market place. Definitely worth a detour.

Spent the weekend nearby with the folks for a long weekend in Brittany and was recommended here by our B&B hosts. This was by far and away the best meal we had in France and one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Hostess was fantastic and really made us feel welcome and we all had a laugh at her (good) attempts at English and ours at French.
The food was superb and absolutely set the taste buds alive. Really recommend the mandarin dessert royale. Superb.
If you're in the area... I strongly recommend that you head here for the night.. .even if it doesn't look busy.
Will I be back.. unlikely as it's a long way to go just for dinner... but it's tempting.
