“Everthing you need at a vication”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Great location , clean , the service the we got from the owner was AAA.
The rooms are "warm" , even the internet concation was OK.
What we like so much is the service that we got. There are so many hotek near by but we think that this is THE ONE.

Room Tip: Take the rooms near the enter... The wifi is better over there.

Rooms and service are excellent. Very good value, rich breakfast. Dinner is available in near hotel (20 meters). Roberta and staff are very friendly and ready to help. It is the perfect place to stay if you would like to explore near places or go up to Marmolada by cable car.

Located on the main Dolomites road at the very small village of Malga Ciapela, so you can’t miss it. Only 400 meters from the cable car up to Marmalade.
Friendly atmosphere and very welcoming owner, clean rooms and a great breakfast. You can smell baking at night , and wake up to great pastries for breakfast.

Very good value. Clean, welcoming, very well appointed, roomy and excellent breakfast.
Family owned and run. The owner/manager could not have been more helpful to us, a group of 5 male hikers/walkers.
The shower cubicle is small within a really bright, clean, roomy bathroom. We found tight shower cubicles repeatedly in our travels in Italy.

welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. Excellent service, charming and friendly with a dash of homeliness that was not pervasive but warming. Breakfast was a delight, location superb and Roberta, her family and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Although I appreciate previous comments regarding the shower size, I would balance that with the quality of the whole experience. We are a couple who climb and have a particular fondness for the Dolomites. We would certainly return to this excellent B&B. We did have a room with balcony and window in bathroom - number 9.

I booked this hotel just a couple of days prior to my arrival and was able to take advantage of a discount. Me and my wife payed € 49 for a double room with balcony inclusive of breakfast.
The hotel sits in a wonderful location if you are going to hike or just have a walk near the Marmolada.
The room was perfectly clean. The hotel looks aged in many aspects (old wooden door with old-style metal key) but everything is well kept and gives a good feeling.

The Staff is extremely kind and helpful, we got a lot of tips about where to go and what to do.
Breakfast offers a wide range of choice and everything is very tasty.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who plans to take a look at the top of Marmolada or take a walk in the Serrai, both very close. It is very easy to take a car ride to one of the many nearby alpine lakes or to a touristic city. In 10 minutes you drop 1000 metres in height and meet one of the lovely towns by the lake.

The only two minuses are: Shower cabinets are so small that you have to be thin to wash properly... and I have been asked to pay 2 € a day for internet access. I think this type of hotels, these days, should already include the wi-fi connection in their prices. Anyway it consumes nothing to use it.

With that said, I do recommend it indeed, especially at € 49 per night for 2 people with breakfast included.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the rooms with the window in the bathroom.

My girlfriend and i stayed 3 nights over new year 2013. Despite being friendly in e mail communications before our visit and the proximity to the ski slopes our experience was terrible. The room was pokey, the shower would be cramped for a jockey let alone an average sized person, service was poor and in fact rude at times. My g/f is from asian heritage but speaks very fluent english and they were particularly dismissive of her in fact racist. The room got very cold at night and when we enquired why they said they turned off the heating about 9pm each night. We asked for it to be left on all night and despite reluctantly agreeing it was turned off again. My girlfriend ended up with a mild case of pneumonia thanks to their arrogance. Stay away from this place!!!

Cordialmente
