If you are skiing in Dolomites , you must do the trip to Marmolada . The cable trip is amasing . We did run on skis from Arabba , great ski slopes . Then we took the cabel car once , and again , and again . Fabulos . Intersting museum at the end of the second cabel trip and nice restaurant . But when we did reach the top we found an incredible site . The ski down on the 12 km slope was a nice experience too . It was a great trip

We took the open ski lift from the Lago Fedaia side , a wonderful experience by itself , and continued with a short hike to the glacier . the views are amazing ,in my opinion the best in the Dolomites area .

Wonderful trip by cable car to the Queen of the Dolomiti, the Marmolada. Truly beautiful and breath taking.
We had an excellent light lunch at the little cafe opposite the entrance to the cable cars

The view was amazing, snow is available all year long, the souvenir shop at the 2nd stop of the cable car is nice and not expensive as well, the cable car fee seems a little too expensive but it's still a site you must visit while travelling at that amazing part of Italy!

The funicular is expensive, but the ride is great and brings you to a middle station. From the middle station there is a smaller ride all the way to the top platform.
Brilliant view on the glacier, the surrounding mountains and lake Fedaia, more then 1000 meters lower. Marmolada earns the title of Queen of the Dolomites.
