We booked this hotel thru an online "deal". We have booked a lot of deals that have been offered online, and this is the best ever. This hotel is fabulous, you can't help but like it.

The hotel is very close to Innsbruck, best way is to take the 2nd exit off of the autobahn after Innsbruck, Hall i.Tirol, and it's only a couple of kilometers above Hall. You would never believe you are so close to those cities, because all you can see is mountains, forests, fields all around you, and quiet. The views are spectacular, and the gardens around the hotel are wonderfully laid out, with a lot of flowers.

What to expect? First and foremost all of the rooms in this hotel are 50 sq. meters (450 sq. ft.) or larger, and are magnificently laid out. That's big rooms, huge bathrooms with both a large tub and a step free walk-in shower big enough for 6, dual sinks, separate room for the toilet. Two huge, well lighted closets, safe at a good reachable level, well lighted too, hardwood floors with oriental carpets, Mini-bar, fresh water in the room daily, fresh fruit bowls in the lobby area and in the hallways near the elevator. The hotel was built in 2005, next to a previous structure, so everything is perfect, and included. There is underground parking included, WiFi is everywhere and free.

Outide there is a miniature golf course on the grounds, and bike rentals are available, as is table tennis, walking paths start across the street. The hotel has a lovely Wellness Area, and sports an outdoor, spring fed, swimming lake.

By all means take the Half Board option. The price is very reasonable, and the food is terrific. The cook makes you feel like a king with the 4 course half board evening meals, and the taste is outstanding. Breakfast is buffet style, but you still have the option to get eggs any style off of an order form, so they are prepared just for you in the kitchen and are piping hot when served to your table. Weather permitting, breakfast can also be taken on the outside deck.

The hotel specializes in hosting wedding parties, and the Saturday we were in the hotel was no different, there was a wedding party. Noise was not a problem. The hotel even provided a Dixieland band for regular customers in the evening for dinner entertainment at the same time they served the wedding party. None of this music was a problem in our room.

Smokers will be happy to learn that smoking is permitted in part of the lobby, and in the bar, the only places in the building where it is permitted. The area is very well venelated, and as a non-smoker I did not have a problem walking thru this area.

The Speckbacher Hof is definitely a hotel to which you will want to return. Incidentally it is only about 5 or 6 km from the Swarovski factory and their Kristalworld center.

Room Tip: I believe all of the rooms have the great valley view, but ask upon arrival to make sure. If you ar...

We stayed here for a wedding as recommended by the bride who lived locally. We were not disappointed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and dotted with touches of class, as was the service throughout our stay. The views are spectacular with fields and mountains on one side with a beautiful church on the other. It's a bit far from any action but if you really want to get away and unwind then this is for you. As we found everywhere on our Austrian trip, the staff were very friendly and accommodative when it comes to children.
