Stayed here for 7 days until the 14th April 2014. The accommodation is great value for money and if you include the half board you cant do any better. Staff are lovely and friendly with owner Barbara and Maria looking after you in the restaurant. The bar is a bit noisy and if you want to watch anything but Fußball-Bundesliga you are in trouble with the sour puss barmaid. Make sure you get a room with a shower. None of them have toilets but for the price you can live with this. The train stops outside the door with good bus service as well. Well worth visiting and great value.

Room Tip: Rooms at the train side have a nice balcony and seem to be the ones with showers as well.

We stayed there a week just before Easter, it's close to Mayrhofen and all ski places. Friendy and helpful staff, good food, rooms lovely, we are not too demanding so it was just perfect for me and my boyfriend as we were out most of the times snowboarding or in town eating out. It's a lovely area, close to shops, would definitely go back there and recommend as well.

We had a couple of meals here during our stay in Austria.
Nice, good food.
Fast & smiling service (which is not easy with a group of 8 foreigners who all order different and have questions).
Free wifi.
Good meeting place since the Ramsau ZillertalBahn station is right in front of it.

Had 3 meals here over Christmas week all were great. Good price and tasty food, especially the pizzas. The house wine both red and the pinot grigio were also lovely and great value for money, about 8 euros a pizza and 4 euros a 250 ml of wine, also tasty weisbier. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back if we stay in hippach or Ramsau.

just returned from one weeks easter skiing holiday staying at Gasthof Tipotsch. I booked this hotel online direct with the owner, Barbara. The Hotel is located in Ramsau right next to the railway line which you can use for free with a valid ski pass. The ski bus also stop outside the hotel, however on this trip we didnt need to use it as we had a hire car. The hotel is relatively small but very friendly. The bar and restaurant is well homely and welcoming - Maria and Barbara are very attentative to their customers needs. We had half board and was pleasantly surprised at the qulaity of the food. The evening meal consisted of a salad buffet followed by the soup of the day followed by a choice of two main courses followed by a desert. For what we had paid for the accomodation it was certainly value for money and provided us with everthing we needed. If you want a warm, welcoming, value for money and ideally located hotel then I would certainly recommend this one

Room Tip: the rooms on the first floor facing the railway line have a balcony that is nice to sit on and watch...

Stayed here again at feb half term, still represents great value for money. Food is as good as last year and quantity also plentyful. Would be interested to hear from anyone with info on other hotels in the are incase this one is unavailble next year.
Skiing was excellent, plenty of snow. Used ski school Joseph Frankhauser for the kids this year, and ski hire from here also. The school was much better than the one which i used last year (Andreas Schiestl) the equipment was better too, though marginaly more expensive.
There was one day when the lifts opened late and closed early, due to "a storm on the mountain" it really wasnt that bad, obviously they have never experienced a day skiing in scotland! (suppose they have to be a bit careful of avalanches).
Will definately go back.

just returned from new year ski holiday and stayed at his wonderful little hotel. I booked it on line with no rcomendations and was a bit apprehensive. my confidence was inspired when i emailed the owner and got a swift reply in good english. The price was increadibly low though and i was still a bit concerned. arriving late at night my room keys were at the pink panther bar, i found the room and we all slept the sleep of the righteous!
breakfast next morning was great, but one cant go wrong with salami and cheese! all fears were dispeled at dinner the first night, the food was great and the portions huge!
This hotel is basic, some rooms share shower and toilets on the floor, though i never had to que for either!
the rooms are warm (too warm, i had to turn a radiator off!), clean with maid service every day, clean towels when required.
the food is great, the resteraunt is much bigger than the number of rooms and seems popular with drop in dinners.
the staff are great, very freindly and welcoming.
the down sides, not many, are thepink panther bar attached is a bit smokey, though so is most of europe, there is a disco next door though we or rather i only heard it once and it was very faint despite our room being on that side of the building, the rest of the family slept through. we had half board and the menu was limited, though always 2 choices of main course, and always good food and plenty of it. The shared toilets might be a down for some but for me i would rather pay what i did and live with the 20m down the hall for the loo than pay much more for an ensuite.
All in great place to stay 2km to gondola station, train station 25 m from front door (trains dont seem to run at night- no noise).
