“Magical place”

We spent 2 weeks at this lovely place. The house was lovely, the garden was a joy and the views were fantastic, not to mention the pool. Alison & Pete were the perfect hosts and we hope to return.

“Special place close to a lovely village”
Reviewed 11 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

A wonderful location on top of a hill overlooking open countryside and opposite a gorge. What a fantastic spot. A warm welcome on arrival from Alison and Peter who were always on hand when needed. St Antonin is a gorgeous place with lots of lovely places to eat. Lots to do and great places to visit. The Tour de France came through while we were there which was super exciting. Everybody friendly. Would definitely return if we were in the area.

“Beautiful refurbished farm house”

Beautiful farm house refurbished to a very high standard set in an idyllic elevated position above the St. Antonin Nobel Val gorge.

The house is surrounded by large lawn areas with abundant wildlife. The property is secluded and you can relax next to the pool and listen to the wildlife.

The house has wifi and satellite TV although we never felt the need to watch the TV being to busy sitting outside in the evening drinking wine.

Pete and Alison where most welcoming hosts who gave us great advice about some bars/restaurants and sent us to a great kayaking company. When one of our party had a minor medical emergency they immediately arranged a local doctor to attend the property.

In short we had a fantastic holiday and we would definitely like to return.

“Fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

From first coming through the gates we knew we were going to have a perfect holiday. House and grounds are beautifully maintained with lovely views over Averyron gorge....what better place for a swim? House is a converted farmhouse with lots of period features with plenty of living space.

The owners v helpful and friendly. They gave uis lots of advice about local places to visit and best vineyard etc....

Chickens and geese are managed by the owners and add to the character and holiday experience as does the herb garden to dip into..

You must visit and we will definitely be returning!

“Truly spectacular restored 18th century farmhouse with amazing attention to detail and beautiful gardens.”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We travelled with another couple and stayed at this amazing property for 4 days.....I wish we had been there longer. It was immaculately renovated and maintained. The choice of décor was beautiful. I loved the gardens and sitting by the pool at sunset. It is so peaceful and quiet. The little town of Saint Antonin de Nobel Val is very interesting to explore and one of the highlights when we arrived was suddenly coming upon the gorge where the town lies at the bottom. After a careful drive down into the gorge, we then drove up the other side and over to the farm. It was so picturesque. Alison came out to greet us and show us around. My husband and I had a very secluded bedroom, bathroom and sitting area in the tower house. It was charming. There are geese on the property that Alison herds to bed at night. You could tell she loves animals and told me that sometimes when she knows children are visiting she will try and incubate some eggs for them. Her vegetable gardens are amazing and the pool is spotlessly cleaned daily. She is there if you need her and it was very interesting to hear stories of the property. It really felt like a little piece of heaven!! I would love to go back with my family some day!! Thank you Alison for a wonderful experience (her husband was away in England at the time of our visit and we are sorry that we missed meeting him).

“the perfect holiday”
Reviewed 5 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Its hard to know where to start.......at different times in our 2 week break at Blancou there were between 5 and 8 of us staying in this stunning house......everything about Blancou is absolutely wonderful from the peace and tranquility of the house's location to the great swiming pool to the "cannot do enough for you" hospitality of the owners Alison & Pete......and then there is the beautiful medieval village of Saint Antonin Noble Val on your doorstep ( 4 miles away).

It's rare to really want to go back somewhere especially when there are so many different places to visit in France let alone the rest of the world......but we will be going back without a doubt.....

If you want a relaxing, chilled out hoilday......simple......just go there!

Steve & Pia, family and friends.

“Wonderful! Best family holiday ever! Quality time and relaxation”

We had a brilliant holiday at this charming 'self-catering' in France last year, returned this year, and would love to every year! - Absolutely PERFECT for a big family, and if you want to DE-STRESS! Enough private space for 4 couples! and some... French countryside at its best! Beautiful centuries-old barns restored to a high standard while keeping all the original materials. The buildings are simply the work of art of hostesses Alison and Peter who have created a haven of tranquility and rustic country beauty. The big country family kitchen is fully equipped and complimented by the fact that one can get several herbs and veggies from the garden. There is a mobile bread van that drives into the driveway and brings lovely fresh bread and other products you can chose from! There are two full eating facilities, lovely big wooden table and chairs in the kitchen, as well as another outdoors. The cleanest pool overlooking nothing but the hills, valley and the horizon, simply peaceful. The facility for barbecue and cozy outdoor eating area was the way we loved to end each day, overlooking the hills, while the sun went down and the stars came out. Very relaxing! The cute village of St. Antonin Noble Val nearby is the typical country French village with a market once a week, with exquisite local products. There are other markets on the other days in the nearby villages. Can't recommend it enough for a week or more get-away for the whole family! :)
