As members of a British walking holiday, we spent a week in the Baglio di Scopello. The facility is a sleek, traditional looking set of buildings. Lobby and bar area were small but adequate for our needs. Staff were generally helpful and were multilingual. The owner/manager was in evidence a great deal and was generous with special regional liqueurs or wines during and after our dinners. Our room was in a rear section; it was large, comfortable and kept very clean. Our view of surrounding mountains was somewhat hampered though by an additional building behind us. WiFi was available at no cost in the hotel, but reception was limited to the area around the lobby and patio. We were served a buffet breakfast which included many options including yogurt, boiled eggs, cereals, breads, pastries, meats and cheeses. The coffee was a definite weak point however, especially considering the wonderful coffee available in much of Italy. Coffee served at the Baglio was certainly made from instant. Dinner was another point of weakness. As the hotel does not have a fully equipped kitchen, our evening meal was catered, with selections made each prior evening. A few meals were very good; most were forgettable. There were no exercise facilities nor was there a pool. Set in the charming small town, this hotel is one of few large lodging options. It would be a suitable place to stay if we returned to this great walking area near the Zingaro National Park.

Room Tip: Any room should be quiet given the location set back from the town.

This is a family run hotel with great rooms most of which have small balconies mine overlooked the side with a small glimpse of the sea, others overlook the front so are less private. The food is excellent - and I'm vegetarian!! I know others enjoyed the fresh fish and meat dishes but the vegetables were fresh and delicious. Even though I don't usually eat desserts I had to try them; beautifully presented - and everything typically Sicilian.
The staff were great - all helpful in many ways. It had the charm of a family hotel but if you prefer large international ones this is probably not for you.
Scopello is very small and not on the beach - there is a bit of a walk to the nearest beach from the hotel. On the other hand, the hotel is a couple of minutes from the small square and tranquil. I would certainly return to this hotel - everyone was keen to make the guests' stay perfect - what more would you want??

Room Tip: Ask for balcony.

We stayed here for one week with HF Holidays, a group of 28 people. It was fine. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. We had breakfast and dinner included and - interesting fact - there is no kitchen. The food was catered in. No surprise, then, that most of it was lukewarm and not particularly 'Italian'. Just cheap cuts of meat and fish, equal probably to the fact that it was a group staying in the hotel. Not much in terms of personality as far as the staff is concerned, and certainly nothing to write home about in the bar, which is decorated like a funeral parlor. Evening cocktails consisted of chip dust out of a bag- ironic, in light of the millions of olive groves that abound, but so it was. So as the saying goes 'been there, done that'. Won't be back.

Very clean, comfortable Baglio in the center of Scopello. The property is newer and has gated parking. The room was a decent size and again very clean. The breakfast is certainly adequate and served in the center courtyard. Overall a good stay.

This place is right in the heart of Scopello and you can walk everywhere. There is a secure car park. Our room was good with a balcony and a bit of a view. The whole place is spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was good .All of the staff were friendly and helpful with one exception. This is a good base and we think it did what it was supposed to do, and nothing else - provide good quality sleeping accommodation and breakfast at a reasonable price . As the corridors are tiled you can probably imagine the noise as suitcases are being trailed past your room at all times of the day and night with voices echoing up and down.
