Booked for 2 nights and did realise that the pub was closed for evening meals on a Sunday and enjoyed a roast dinner at The Flying Bull just up the road and ate at The Jolly Drover on the second night which was fine. Pleasant welcome with the offer of fresh milk on arrival and some left in our room, cooling in cold water, on our return the next day. Good cooked breakfast and porridge, selection of good bread and jam. Room was quiet and of a reasonable size, conveniently only a few steps from the car park.

Booked for 2 nights as were visiting Goodwood. I got a bit concerned when we arrived at 5pm and found a deserted pub as they didn't open until 5 30pm. Booked through Hotels.com and wasn't made aware of it, but after having a very nice meal at the Spread Eagle pub, we checked in with no problems. Breakfast was very substantial on our 2nd morning as we were up early on our first morning although maybe the hotel could offer a sandwich to take with you the night before especially for people staying for Goodwood as they do put their prices up over that weekend. We also had the steak, chips and bottle of wine for £20 on our second night which was very good value and the steak was very tender and tasty. We had a very good stay and would recommend if you're in the area and also very handy for Goodwood.

Met up with family for Sunday lunch, good portions, loads of different veg, piping hot. A good range of desserts too . Staff were friendly. Not too cramped either. We had a very relaxing time. It's a good old fashion pub .

We stayed for 2 nights at the Jolly Drover as part of a group of 6 in 5 of the 6 rooms available. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with ample car parking and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was fairly good with a choice of cereals and a full cooked option available, which was all fine. We did however have some issues. On the first night we decided to eat in the restaurant and the majority of people in the group found this to be both overpriced and very disappointing. On the second evening we booked dinner elsewhere, but on departing by taxi we informed the bar staff we would be back just after 10. Having had a very good meal out we then returned as promised just after 10 to find the pub completely shut, despite in the rooms it clearly saying they were open till 11, which if we’d known beforehand we would not have come back at that time. The next morning when we raised this with the staff the nearest we got to an apology was a rather curt “You should have come back sooner then”, which unfortunately was typical of the rather poor customer service we encountered during the stay.

This review is a joint view and we all agreed that we wouldn’t recommend based on the experience we had.

Room tip: Room 1 had a wet room

We stayed at The Jolly Drover for 2 nights as we were guest's at a wedding. What a wonderful B & B the room was clean, comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order using local produce and was scrummy. Lots of parking and free WiFi what more can you ask for. Would definitely recommend this B&B .
