Very mixed feelings about this pub. On the one hand the rooms are well put together with everything you need and the staff are really friendly. Unfortunately there were issues with hot water which meant we couldn't shower in the morning for a couple of days. They were also short of steaks for the evening meals. Breakfast was excellent. If they sort out their supply problems this would be a great place to stay.

Stopped here on a Sunday but we didn't both necessarily want a traditional Sunday lunch. Had a lovely Stilton and walnut pie plus a great roast dinner. Would strongly recommend either. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend and found the food to be excellent, a great bar and comfy accommodation with really friendly staff prepared to go the extra mile. Highly recommended. Next time we are in the UK we will certainly return.

Room tip: Best room at the back, no noise.

We stayed at the Jolly Drover as we were attending a wedding nearby. Everything was seamless from start to finish.

We arrived earlier than planned but the lady checking us in made sure our room was available within 10 mins or so of our arrival which we were very grateful for.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. All staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We'd definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Attending family wedding nearby. Organised activities meant we were not actually at hotel beyond b+b. Both Bed and breakfast can be recommended, comfy bed and excellent shower. Nice to have real coffee and not instant in the room. No quibbles.
