We spent quite some time searching around for what would be our final night in France after three 'beach' weeks on the Med'. Oh it was worth it!

Every aspect of this establishment is outstanding. The warm welcome, the exquisite rooms, the fabulous food the peace and tranquility. Everything is of high quality. We do hope to return.

Stayed here on an overnight visit during a potter around the Pas de Calais and the Somme. Sebastien and Sandrine Adam are a great young couple and really deserve to get a lot more custom than they appear to do at the moment. I think this is because this country hotel is quite off the beaten track and although there are a number of lovely walks in the area and a lovely Abbey fairly close, there are no little bars shops or anything like that. Because this is a converted farm, accommodation and restaurant etc. are all on one level, with wonderful views of green fields round about.

The rooms have been very imaginatively and thoughtfully put together with a modern decor which nonetheless tips its hat to its very French origins (great wooden headboards on the beds for example). The "wet room" shower was a dream and the bathroom fittings extremely modern and attractive. We thought beds very comfortable, although I know other reviewers have said they are too firm, but they suited us. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere prevailed. Evening meal really was "gourmet" in the best French tradition with a choice of three dishes for each course. We were offered the 38 euro menu and maybe I would have liked a less elaborate one (I thought there was supposed to be a simpler one at 25 euros?) but it was all lovely.

Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, fresh juice, bread, croissants, ham, conserves, farm butter, good coffee, cooked eggs if you required them, etc. Napery was all linen and crisp, all china was Limoges (wow!)

We loved this place and we wish Sebastien and Sandrine all the very best in their endeavours as they have obviously spent a great deal of time, thought and expertise in converting the farm to this hotel; the main problem is its isolation and you would always need a car to reach it.

Room Tip: Take a shower cap as the power shower is overhead, although there is a "douchette" spray w...

We have just returned from a weekend break at Le Clos de la Prairie. It was absolutely lovely - peacefully located in the Picardy countryside within easy reach of the coast and many lovely villages, towns and beaches. We took the scenic coast road to get there and back stopping lots as we were lucky with the weather and the beaches are beautiful all the way down but it is only an hour from Calais on the motorway.

We stayed in a great family room - thoughtfully designed with the bathroom in the middle so that the children's bunks were at one end and the parent's area at the other and not all lying in a row of beds as we have previously experienced! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with contemporary French style furniture, super-comfortable beds and lovely linens. The bathroom was fabulous - spacious and beautifully styled with a lovely walk-in shower. In addition there was a small private furnished terrace on which to sit out. It was lovely and quiet and everyone slept well.

The owners are a delightful couple who run the place beautifully - Sandrine so welcoming and friendly at front of house and Sebastien preparing the most delicious food in the kitchen but also finding time to come and chat and make sure that everything was perfect for the guests. The dinner was excellent - beautifully cooked using local produce and there were delicious fresh options for the children as well. Breakfast too - fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham, fruit, eggs - it just kept coming to the point where no lunch was eaten on our first day!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough - we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: All rooms are ground floor so no access problems and we didn't hear a sound from anyone else.

Having carefully looked around North France for a break with friends I chose this hotel and restaurant.
We all found it fautless!
The hosts were a lovely friendly, and helpful couple.
The situation was a peacefull rural village and the room was as good as any we have stayed in witha very comfortable bed and superb shower room. Plenty of hot water and air con/heating that worked.
The set dinner with limited choice was again near perfect and I can normally find some fault but not here. Excellent Chef with his lovely wife serving. The beef (local Charolais) was the best I have ever had!
We follow Alastair Sawday places to stay and this was probably the best.

Room Tip: If you want to spoil yourself or your partner stay and eat here.

A large and comfortable bed, a luxurious shower room, comfortable arm chairs with TV, facility to make hot drinks and chairs on a little terrace carefully screened off from those either side and overlooking pasture and woodland all contributed to a really relaxing and tranquil experience. The hosts are attentive and nothing is too much trouble, a feature too of the restaurant which makes innovative use of fresh and local produce. With the provision of amuse bouche and palate cleansing sorbet, the food here is an experience all on its own. Be careful though because you will need to ensure that you have room for the fresh fruit kebabs, cereal, vanilla cream, eggs, ham and viennoiserie served at breakfast! Not ' budget' prices but real quality and therefore real value for money

This hotel is so easily accessible from the Tunnel that it made for a great weekend break from a snowy UK. The gismo overview we received on arrival was very welcome and meant we really benefited from the efficient aircon, for example; the standard of fixtures, fittings and WiFi was superb; the restaurant was a lovely experience with really personal and quality service; and the night's sleep we enjoyed nestled in the attractive rural setting was lovely - we definitely intend to revisit in the sunshine!

We stayed on a cold, snowy February night but the owners made us feel very welcome.
The hotel has only recently been completed and the rooms have all the latest equipment, flat screen TV, very modern bathrooms, Wi-Fi etc.
Probably the best dinner that we had in 10 days of travelling cooked by Sebastian and served by his wife Sandrine. Lots of extras included with the dinner.
Only 5 minutes off the main road and less than an hour to Calais. I am sure that we will be returning.

Highly recommended
