My stay was with some 15 golfers from Jersey, so for us it was more about accommodation, although we did have the table d'hote meal on the first of two nights.

On both visits we have been allocated seaview rooms with balconies - and what a view!

I did use the spa facilities on the Saturday afternoon, but rather crowded as many non-residents. However, the several jets were relaxing on the muscles after 18 holes at Val Andre.

Table d'hote meal - nouveau cuisine - was rather sparse with little choice, so the following night we visited a nearby restaurant and had their excellent a la carte for the same price.

Room Tip: Request sea view with balcony

The view out of sea front rooms is a seascape delight. The food excellent and service prompt with real professionalism. The spa is super with sea water pool which includes all types of bubble massage and a counter current swimming place, with the sea in view. Not that I personally had any of the personal beauty treatment it seem they were excellent and at the highest standard, I profited from a back massage which was most refreshing and relaxing. I said could be excellent reason... at breakfast the scrambled egg and bacon dish was seldom refilled without somebody having been disappointed with nothing there! Our room lacked a 2nd sitting chair so one of us had to sit on the bed! The selection buttons in the lift for the parking was a masterpiece of confusion. The ventilation controls in our room were short of useless in the end we opened the window at night because we could not get it cool, without summer air-conditioning. These were niggles overall - the management needs to try the room themselves imagine a minibar at floor level, with a sliding door which jambs it as well! We loved our stay good food, excellent spa and treatment, wonderful site, but a few niggles!

Stayed here on a golf break for 3 nights. Very modern. Side sea view room with small balcony. Across road from the beach and casino. Short walk to shops and restaurants. Lovely large, clean rooms. Nice and modern with good bathrooms. Mini bar and in room safe plus tea and coffee making facilities and wet bar. Cable TV channels (a number in English). Plenty of wardrobe space and no problems at all with noise. Beds the most comfortable we have ever had in a hotel. Very good self service breakfast and reception staff very helpful. Parking garage cost only $6 per day and very safe with entry via automatic door opened by your room key. Lift from garage direct to room floors so easy access to and from car. Only negative we found is that the place seems a little soulless. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a side sea view room or a front sea view room. Garden rooms at back and could have problems with...

Clean, big rooms and centrally located. BUT the atmosphere is very cold and quiet. We went their with kids and didnt feel very welcome. The swimming pool is only for guest who pays for treatments (not very likely with small kids) until 17.30 and even though we enter after that hour we were asked to be quiet (even though we hadnt said a word until then, the ladies who worked there just seemed shocked and upset about our presence).

I would not recomend this place unless you like to be left alone.

Comfortable room, the place is on a very good spot. Just on the seaside. We got a free upgrade, which was very nice. Very comfortable kingsize bed. The atmosphere was not very warm and the staff didn't explain anything about the hotel.

This seems to be the best hotel in Pleneuf Val Andre . It is new and very clean but a little soulless . The location is perfect with great views . We did not use the hotel restaurant as we prefer using independent restaurants .
