We had dinner here during our stay in Ischia. The pizza oven had been closed for the winter, as had the garden, despite it being a warmish autumn night.

We had the cotoletta milanese which was good, and scalloppine al marsala - which could have done with an extra glug or two of marsala as I could hardly taste it! But we really should have chosen the seafood as we realised after ordering that the photos adorning the wall of the restaurant are of the owner / chef / fisherman! I suspect the seafood would have been very fresh indeed! Service was friendly.

We stopped by Ristorante Sirena for dinner after a long day of walking around Ischia Porto on our first night on the island. It's a quaint spot along a row of restaurants on the pedestrian walkway. They usually have a display out front with fresh catch fish and large mushrooms. The fagioli soup and gnocchi were stand outs, and the rest of the dishes offered a refreshing blend of flavors. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out.

The food was fresh. We shared a starter of ceviche. It seemed to have tuna in it and another type of fish cooked in lime juice with simple onions tomatoes and rocket. The patron is a fisherman and there are photos of him on the walls reeling in fish. We shared an oven baked sea bass for main which was filleted for us. The wine was a nice rose we shared. The cute thing was he had his son and daughter there clearing tables.

This restaurant is located in the main street of the port area. It's a small, family-owned place with just a few tables. We saw locals eating there as well. The owner seems t be a fisherman and his photos decorate the walls. Food was good: we had pasta with mussels, Mullette soup, veal cutlets with marsala sauce and in lemon sauce. For dessert we had tiramisu which was good. We also had their house white wine, which was nice and refreshing.

Pizza was okay here but certainly not to the standards of other restaurants on Ischia or other Southern Italy locations.
