“Best Food Around!”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

Me and my husband went here for Valentines Day and this restaurant didn't disappoint! We ate the Chef's menu...which was 5 courses. Each course was better than the last! The ambiance was romantic and quiet. The waitress wouldn't let our wine glass become empty of Prosecco throughout the entire dinner. We didn't really know what to expect cost wise, because the price wasnt on the menu....but the total came out to 65 euro! WAY cheaper than what we expected! As we paid, the bartender gave us complementary Limoncello that they make locally. It was all around AMAZING!

“Best dinner in Italy yet...”
Reviewed 12 February 2012

Enjoyed our best meal yet in Italy. Had the chef's menu and everything was amazing. The grilled octopus on creamed potatoes was the show stealer. However the duck breast was great as well. Cost 45 euro for the chef menu - 5 courses and you leave very satisfied. Nice ambience and welcoming bar as well.

“ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!”
Reviewed 10 August 2011

After living nearby for so many years, we didn't know this gem existed and unexpectedly found it right in front of us after all that time - how lucky we were. The food, ambience (13th century structure) and service were first rate. We've eaten at Michelin-starred places before, here in Italy and abroad, and this place holds it own amongst them and outshines many of them.

The owner, Roberto, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and treated my wife and I like long-lost family. The chef, Davide, has cooked at many restaurants throughout Europe and it definitely reflects in the taste and presentation of his dishes - stunning flavor profiles, arrangement and color combinations. The quality of ingredients are first-rate and the menu is changed daily/weekly based on what is fresh at the market - this is the reason why the menu is limited (although not too limited) to approx 4-5 selections each for Antipasti, Primi, Secondi and Dolce as mentioned by another reviewer.
Roberto has a love of wine and it shows. Each selection is specifically chosen by him. We asked him to do the wine pairings and were not disappointed - the 2004 Tocai Fruilano was exceptional. Meal cost including wine, 3 courses, apertivo, dessert, cafe, etc came to 55 Euro/person. Absolutely worth it - we're heading back next week!

Open for lunch and dinner Tues-Sat and dinner on Mon; kitchen open until 2230hrs.

“Nice place, good food, fantastic terrace”
Reviewed 27 April 2011

Le Contrade is a nice restaurant located in the centre of Sacile, just few steps away from the main square. The atmosphere is brilliant, both indoor as well as in the outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy sunny days in a pleasant environment. Internally few tables are available in a properly decorated room. For more private dinner a separate table can be reserved in the wine storage room ensuring the right atmosphere for business dinner or romantic chatting. Food is fresh, well prepared and beautifully presented in the plate. Expecially seafood is excellent (do not miss the octopus from the grill!). Price is a bit high and if you go for a 3-courses dinner plus dessert and coffee you can easily pay up to 50-60 €. But you will be satisfied!
