Have stayed here twice in the past month. It's such a pity the actual welcome falls short of what one might expect after a long drive. Probably because it's bar / floor staff that are the first to see u after possibly a longish shift. Anyway no "welcome to the Kilpeck" but hey ho..........
Room perfect , great bed , bathroom etc. Service in bar on a Sunday night fast and professional , friendly as well. Food tasty and well priced , good beers on offer. A lovely place to stay. Thank you.

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely village. Very comfortable large room. Friendly, helpful staff. Good reasonably priced food in the restaurant. Very good breakfast. We wouldn't hesitate to go back. Don't miss the wonderful church.

There is no fitness center or pool but I can't seem to undo the "terrible" rating accidentally given!!

Lovely inn in a quiet village (apart from the cockerel!). We stayed for two nights, in Monnow, and were very impressed by the room and the food and the service. Monnow has a gorgeous en-suite and a massive superking bed that was comfortable, but maybe a bit soft for me. Breakfast is well cooked and the dry cure bacon was delicious. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was fantastic - especially the new season asparagus, the chocolate fondant and the clotted cream rice pudding! The bar is well stocked too, with a great choice of gins!
The only reason this review isn't excellent is a couple of niggles, that we are sure will be sorted this weekend as we found out they are closing then for a few days for annual maintenance!

All in all a fab couple of days, and we will definitely be booking again the next time we choose a short break in this part of the UK.

Stayed at the Kilpeck Inn on business with a colleague. I didn't look at any comments, just liked the look of the place on the website and I wasn't disappointed. We arrived early, before opening in fact but were treated to a couple of the local brews 'Butty Bach' in welcome. The rooms were excellent, elegantly decorated and extremely comfortable, with a bed that you just sank into. The staff were excellent and very attentive. Zoe and the team made us feel very welcome. Booked in for dinner, and the food was excellent. The Pork Belly and tenderloin followed by the cheese board sent me to bed contented. My colleague had the local Hereford Steak, and again top marks all round. Overall a fantastic experience, and have just booked to return this week, again on business, but this will be my recommendation in this part of the world from now on. You will not be disappointed !!

Room Tip: Had superior double, my colleague the deluxe. Both tastefully decorated with excellent facilities. I...

We have not eaten here for a while and that was for lunch which was very enjoyable, as I recall. This was for dinner on a Travelzoo offer. The restaurant is nicely furnished in modern style though the bare walls and lack of curtains made it somewhat noisy. The food was excellent, presented in a modern way which can often mean style over quantity but, here, the portions were quite generous. There was a bit of a slip up with non availability of gluten free bread, which had been promised and that is the only criticism. The service was friendly and efficient and I would have been quite happy with the bill without the deal, which made it even better value for money. We will certainly go there again.

Just spent the night in Monnow. It was a business trip & I can bless our admin for finding this little gem close enough to Hereford for us to be able to use it. With just 4 rooms & reasonable rates for single occupancy of their double rooms it's good value. A good selection of beer/wine/whisky/gin - name your tipple!.A good breakfast, not huge, but enough, & cooked just right. Made very welcome.

Room Tip: Monnow has the biggest bed I've ever seen - just swallows you up - wonderful

Just returned from lunch at the Kilpeck inn. My first visit but definitely won't be my last! Everything on the menu sounded wonderful, the pub is really nicely devorated in a modern style country type theme. The service we received from a youngish chap (didn't get his name) was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch and pudding was to die for. A huge portion of sticky toffee pud! Mmmmm. Can't wait to go back!!
