We had a couple of days to kill before our flight home. We had never been to the Burgundy area of France. We found this place, and it came highly recommended.
Wow! Can't say enough good things about it! The owner/hosts, Paul and Jolanta are the sweetest and most thoughtful people. The site is a marvelously renovated ancient winery in the heart of wine country.
After our arrival, we strolled around the old town, then joined Paul for a complimentary tour of the area in his Land Rover. Delightful and informative bits about the history and geography and social life of the region. We then partook of the wine tasting in the cellar of the hotel, hosted by Gary. Didn't know all the Burgundy whites are chardonnay and all the reds are pinot noir!! We were too tired to go into town for dinner, so our hosts prepared a light cheese plate and bread and served it by the fire in the parlor.
The room we had was large and beautifully appointed. It had both a shower and a soaking tub in the bath. Very comfortable bed.
In the morning, we had the most amazing breakfast ever in a hotel! We went for another walk. In the afternoon, we took the hotel bikes for a ride through the vineyards to several smaller towns along the Route de Grand Crus. We liked the food so well at the hotel that we asked for a salad and bread for dinner. They say it's not a restaurant, but we loved eating there. Gary stopped by and made sure we had a good wine to go with our meal.
Another good night of sleep. We were sorry we had to leave in the morning, but had to get back home.
Greta people. Great service. Great building. Great scenery.

Room Tip: There are different levels of rooms. We upgraded to comfort, which was a good move.

Spent just one night here. A little hard to find, but very nice. Owner spent four years restoring this former winery. Did a great job.

Breakfast was wonderful but is NOT included - cost 15 euros. I believe the place has eight rooms and if it is fully booked good luck on parking.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a magnificent weekend at Les Deux Chevres with my wife and friends earlier this month. It’s hard to think of superlatives to add to the already excellent reviews on here. Paul was the perfect host. The historic property is beautiful and tastefully furnished. The wine tasting organised by Paul was superb. The breakfast is great. I’m looking forward to further visits and spending more relaxing down time in this lovely boutique guesthouse and surrounded by vineyards everywhere you look. And, as others have observed, the whisper of Napoleon is never far away!

Totally pleasant couple overseeing an extraordinary property; a well appointed small hotel in Cotes de Nuits. Paul (the British husband) takes guests for an informative hour tour of the surrounding area. We took advantage of the wine tasting and enjoyed the regional chardonnays and pinot noirs, their wine shop (The Burgundy Shop) being a great find.

Breakfasts are excellent, fresh and pleasantly presented. Overall, a wonderful experience, one we look forward to revisiting.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the wine tasting.
