Perched at the top of a hill in Poggio Mirteto sits a B&B treasure; with its floral and brick frontage and panoramic terrace, Villa Oria is a small-country traveler's dream. We were warmly welcomed by the family of the B&B who happily shared a carafe of wine, biscotti and conversation about the estate, despite our late afternoon arrival. Our master bedroom in the main house was traditional and inviting. With soft sheets, a large double bed and the sound of well, very little, you are sure to find tranquility and comfort. Sergio is a gracious and generous host, who took us to a well-deserved award winning local pizza restaurant, with views over Sabina and distant Roma (40 minutes away). You are best taking a car (and GPS), although I imagine if you contact Sergio in advance, he will be able to assist with any navigational issues. We would highly recommend for couples (or anyone) wanting a getaway or just an Italian countryside adventure!
