St. Anna lake is a unique sight in Romania - a beautiful round volcanic lake surrounded by forests. The lake is administered by a private company, so parking there carries a fee, but this also means that the final leg of the road is well maintained and the place is clean.
There are several hiking paths from Baile Tusnad to the lake that are very pitoresque and well marked. Beware the bears though!
