“Comfortable house in good location”
Reviewed 13 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Kilbroney Cottage is in a great location in Rostrevor with a lovely view from the front and with open fields at the back. It is in a quiet residential area on the Hilltown Road so there is some traffic noise but nothing disturbing. The house was as described and had all the facilities needed for an enjoyable holiday although there is no freezer or freezer box in the fridge which was a bit inconvenient - no ice cubes or ice cream! The house is within easy walking distance from Rostrevor especially via the lovely Fairy Glen path. It made a great base for exploring the Mournes and Carlingford area.

“This lovely cottage helped to make our stay so enjoyable”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The cottage was beautifully furnished, spacious, clean and well equipped. The view from the front room of the mountains was a welcome sight when we got up in the morning. The picnic area at the back looked onto gently sloping meadows and was very quiet and peaceful. The shower was very easy to use with constant water at a comfortable temperature. The cottage is in a very bonny part of the country and the area has some of the friendliest people (even compared to our home county of Yorkshire).

“Excellent, Just Like Home”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Four of us have just spent a very comfortable five days in Kilbroney Cottage, although there is plenty of room for six, with three good size bedrooms and a good size dining kitchen with all mod con's. The welcome parcel, wine, milk, butter etc., was a nice touch and much appreciated.
The beds we slept in were comfortable as was the one our friends used. There are two lounges, each with comfortable suites. One lounge has a TV and DVD player, the other is for relaxing in or for a quiet read.
An excellent bathroom with a powerful shower and lots of hot water and it was nice to have plenty of towels provided, (which is not always the case in holiday rentals).
There are great views from the front of the house, overlooking the Mournes and Carlingford Loch, whilst the back garden, with patio furniture, looks up across fields where sheep and cattle graze, occasionally paying us a visit.
The cottage is in a peaceful location, within walking distance of Rostrevor Square, 5 to 10 minutes, but far enough to be away so as not to be bothered by any village noise.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kilbroney Cottage.

“Very comfortable accommodation”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Myself and 6 friends stayed at kilbroney cottage for a weekend break. It has 3 good sized bedrooms (2 twins and a double) with very comfortable mattresses for an excellent night's sleep. The large bathroom had a powerful walk-in shower and plenty of hot water. Good heating system and everything for self-catering in the kitchen. Aiden the owner left us wine, milk, cheese and butter - very thoughtful. There is good parking in the driveway, an excellent patio with furniture - overall the cottage proved excellent accommodation. Location is good and it is walking distance to the fairy glen or into Rostrevor, though uphill on the way back. I have no hesitation recommending this bungalow. Thankyou Aiden.
