“Extraordinary location, magnificent views, superb accomodation”

The drive in the dark was a trifle tricky but we got there in the end as the result of family members arriving before the rest of the party. As dawn broke the view is amazing down to the lough with the mountains in the background. The interior design of the property is stunning with an open plan kitchen, sitting and dining area before a wood burning stove. The quality of the finish is excellent having been masterminded and managed by the owner - perfect location, great property.

Reviewed 31 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Our stay in the crotlieve barn was the best holiday we had as a family ,the barn itself was totally unbelievable, the picture don't do it justice, our first 15 minutes where spent looking at the views from the decking ,great place to start if your got mountain biking on your mind ,my son and I just had to going down the lane and where in the middle of the rostrevor bike trail, going for a run in the car is just great ,scenery everywhere you look

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We spent 4 nights in the beautiful Crotlieve Barn in July 2014 and couldn't have been happier with its presentation, space, facilities, quality of construction, amenities etc.

Our Hosts, Paul and Alison, were wonderful and provided us with every assistance and local information.

I've travelled as an executive for many years staying in some of the world's best 5 star hotels but this beats them all hands down for a wonderful holiday experience in the beautiful Emerald Isle.

Thoroughly recommended!!

We arrived late(ish) on Thursday 26th June (Tip – don’t follow post code on sat nav – use the web site directions) – I was unloading the car and all I could hear was multiple ‘wows’ as wife and sister in law and kids explored the Barn.
An amazing place, spectacularly fitted out with an amazing attention to detail, all done by the owner.
Every amenity you could want, washer, dryer, diswasher, fully equipped kitchen.
Beautiful Bedrooms and bathrooms, all immaculately clean.

Owner took time to show how all the items worked and described walks etc. in the area

Fantastic views down the valley, especially from the large decking area

Highly recommend

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Excellent hosts - very friendly and helpful, gave a lot of local information about walks and where to go in Rostrevor for food and entertainment! The property is finished to a very high standard and kept beautifully. The location could not be better and the local amenities are first class for outdoor activities. The decking showing off the fantastic views was my favourite part of the house. We will definitely be visiting again.

“Excellent”

Beautiful converted barn, with everything we needed as a family. Ideal for large gatherings including young children. The owner was very attentive and had a cot and children's play kitchen there for us. There was also a large trampoline in the garden which was great for the children. The location provided amazing views and we were able to enjoy breakfast on the decked area outside with a spectacular view of the mournes. Also easy to access many forest walking and mountain biking trails. There was an area in the barn for bikes and hiking equipment to be stored. Will hopefully be back!
