I have stayed at a lot of hotels in Goa, but this time i was particularly going for Sunburn, so I thought staying at Vagator would be a good option as it is closer to the venue.
1st of all - The location is not at all nice, and its far away from everything.
Price - The price was super high, about 12,000 per room and was not at all worth it.
Extra Charges - It was a compulsion to pay a charge of Rs. 5000 for christmas dinner. I just checked into the hotel and I received a call for about 4 times in 5 minutes to make the payment, which was really irritating.
Room Service - No one picks up the Room Service. I had to call up the reception everytime to reach the room service guys. And the room has a lavish menu with all the cuisines, but more than 80% of the food items written, are not available. One Hot n sour (chicken soup) took about 1.5 hours to come and when it came it had no chicken, so I guess its not very hard to see the room service standards here.
In the peak lunch time, they had no lunch item available and I was forced to order a Mushroom and Cheese Omelette (Where they could not serve the mushroom, as it was stale).
Cleanliness - The towels were unchanged for 2 days, inspite of ordering fresh towels.
Safe - The room safe was not working properly and even after complaining twice, no one came to fix it.
Attitude of Staff - Least bothered about the guests needs and comfort.
Is surely NOT Recommended for your visit to Goa.
