We loved our experience at Urraca! Francine, the proprietor, was a gracious hostess, an excellent cook and had impeccable taste. We stayed there in early May 2014 and had pretty good weather. It did rain one day, but we were able to have a fantastic day just reading and relaxing in the newer lofted building overlooking the sea. The other days, we took her trusty guide, Damasco, to the bat caves (awesome-highly recommend) and to the Zapatillas (also fantastic). My favorite part of the stay at Urraca was the monkeys (JoJo, Maki and Tuti) and the kinkajou, Quiso (We called him Raul) that were also habitants of Urraca. They were very friendly and made us feel like we were truly in paradise. If you are looking for an authentic, off-the-grid experience in Panama, then this will not disappoint.

A beautiful Island With a great hostess , Francine. The cabins are very confortable and cosy. The food Is délicious, fresh and cooked With à lot Of love and good taste. Her 3 little monkeys are so nice , you can pet and play With them. The kinkajou Is a real little cutie Who loves to have his bellie rubbed. They are so sweet. Having your nap In the hammack In the ocean Is amazing. We did not want to leave from this paradise. We will be back that's for sure

It takes a bit of work to get to Urraca but it is well worth it. The boat ride from Bocas is beautiful. It rained our entire first day and it was still wonderful. Do NOT forget your snorkel and mask. You can literally enter the water from the front door of your private hut-over-water. Francine, the host, will take very good care of you. The food is excellent, the Ngobe Indians who work with Francine took care of our every need and the beer was always cold. Our biggest disappointment was that we were only there three days. As New York City is expecting an inch of snow tonight, I dream of being at Urraca.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are good. I don't see an advantage of one over another.

My family's 4 night stay at Urraca was spectacular! Beautiful cabins and walkways built on a stunning mangrove. Our host Francine was so kind, warm & great fun. The water was clear and perfect for swimming or snorkelling, the meals of fresh lobster....yummy! Our highlight was definitely Francine's adopted pets: Toutie (the capuchin monkey), Quiso & Jojo ( the squirrel monkeys - Jojo was proudly named by our 9 year old) and Maki (the kinkajou). So much fun to play and cuddle with. On our last day, Francine and I created a fresh seaweed scrub, masque and moisturizing treatment with local eucheuma seaweed, fresh coconut oil and crushed corral (from the ocean floor). WOW!!! Thank you for this special experience!

Room Tip: Every cabin is wonderful. Don't hesitate, just book your trip to Urraca.

Urraca Private Island is truly off the beaten path. This secluded hideaway is a great place to relax, swim and snorkel. Francine is an amazing host and takes care of your all your needs. The Ngobe Indians who work for her are super friendly and very helpful. I wish we had more time there.

Our host, Francine is a wonderful person, that made us feel at home in her piece of paradise. It was my first experience living directly over the water. Francine is a great cook and she is a very good hostess. The resort is very well designed and the rooms and beds are confortable. The water is beatiful and so are the fishes. My wife and kids went fishing with 2 of the natives in a pirogue and enjoyed it very much. She also has 3 adorable monkeys and a beatifull kinkajoo that you can pet. Be asured we will be back on our next trip to Panama. I recommend this resort strongly.

Room Tip: They are all good

The best tropical place i have visited by far. The service was perfect, the food was great, and the view was to die for. This place is a must, you have to go there, you could only find a other place like this in bora bora .
